  1. Thanks Glenda! Hmm.. i'm not sure when the best time for PV is, but I know July is not it, haha! I know that its super hot and the rainy season begins around the end of June. But I from what I've been told, the heavier rain season is towards the end of the summer in August. Oh well, I'll be hot and sweaty, but I just hope it doesn't rain cause I haven't even bothered to ask about a back up plan! I'll email you the proposal with prices. We are estimating at 150 ppl. But here's what's included: LOCATION: Sunset Bar for the reception, Jetty for the ceremony and Beach for the private banquet and dancing SET UP: For the ceremony at the jetty: Table at front for the preacher, all linen, white runner for the aisle, Italian chairs, wedding type music and microphone, rustic palm carpets in all walking areas, candles and torches. For the banquet, round tables for 10 people each, all linen, china, Italian chairs, lighting, dancing floor, stage for band/dj, candles and torches. BANQUET:WEDDING PLAN No. 3, (150 people included) ·On site coordinator ·Complete set up for the banquet areas, described above ·Three courses dinner menu (Selection pending) ·Corking fee, six hours (we asked for 7, and he is not charging extra, this all mixers, soda, water, ice all we need to provide is the liquor.) ·Fire works (10 large bombs and one hundred thunder lights) ·Exclusive waiters ·One bridal suite for one night with late check out at 6:00 PM ·Tasting menu for two persons ·½ Hour Massage for bride and groom ·Fruit basquet upon arrival (Only for the bride and groom room) ·VIP Treatment during stay He's also throwing in a Symbolic Cake (picture op), which I'm fine with since the dinner includes desert. We also found that my cousin's husband is good friends with the ppl who make the Tres Gerenaciones Tequila! We are looking into getting bottles with our own labels for the tables/favors.. and purchsing the tequila by the jugs for consumption!
  2. Amanda- go to the "User CP" top left corner, a screen will open and in the middle of the screen the link should show up

  4. I'm sending STD's out by the end of the month for my July 2008 wedding. I have my website listed which will provide all the travel info including a blurb stating that room blocks will be made in August 2007. I am planning way ahead to give my guests as much time as possible to book. Like Ann, my formal invites will be mailed some time in 2008 and will also be more for formality. Why don't you send STD's with your travel info?
  5. Amanda! you should visit more often! (I'm a big fan of your knottie page by the way, hehe!) I love Trista's shots! My favorite has to be the last one under the archs! That's a must do for my wedding! Thanks for sharing, your wedding was beautiful!

  8. no, curly willow is very flexable and i literally crammed it into the vase!
  9. they look like white Phalaenopsis Orchids Catalina Silk Flowers - Silk Orchids - White Phalaenopsis Orchid Stem To keep them from floating you can either place the whole stem in the vase, if its too light, maybe try adding river rocks or somehthing of the sort to hold the stem in place. Or, what I did was use curly willow and individually tied each flower onto the orchid.. it was a pain but I tried it with fresh mini orchids PITA!
  10. I LOVE this style (hair, make-up, dress) Can someone make me look like this
  11. Lenita- I'm late on this but congrats again and I agree, your wedding was beautiful!
  12. Anny, I'm don't think this is the correct knottie page, but this is a link to an Aqua Knottie The Knot Forums
  13. I understand.. I'm sure the lace will work.. plus you'll get more use in the future!
  14. I think it may be much... BUT.. I doubt you'll be carrying your purse around so I don't think it matters too much..
  15. ohh I love the lace! But doesn't your dress have lace? If so I think you should go with the satin.
  16. I have a 13 pocket expandable folder which are seperated into "my dress, bm dress, flowergirl, flowers, other decor, groom/gm" etc! I throught everything in there that I rip out of mags or have printed from the comp. I also use folders on the comp. Every 6 six I clean it out. My cousin gave me a wedding organizer and I haven't touched it!
  17. Christine- where have you been? J/K~ Yes, we changed our location to the Mayan Regency!!! Yay! I'm so excited. I acutally just got off the phone with my cousin who's been communicated with the WC. She got the hotel to include a couple of freebies! We are actually putting the deposit down on monday, he's already saved the date! Here's the link- Check it out! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t34
  18. Thanks Sarah.. I'm not sure what date the deadline should be.. if I sent them then end of this month, then maybe August? I'm not sure..
  19. okay.. I'm super afraid of death.. not me dying but others. I have a huge family but funerals are common and it seems that we attend at least one each year. My mom is one of ten children and there are only three left. Her youndest brother died in his mid-20's. My grandma and another uncle died a year and a day apart. My brother and other uncle died 10-months apart, another two uncles died 2-months apart in 2005. I feel like I'm always on edge on who's next. Recently, my mother told me she was told that she needed a f/u to because the results from her mamogram indicated that they saw a "spot" So I am freaking out, but trying to remain calm at the same time.
  20. Honestly, I don’t think it matters (unless you want your BM dress to someway mimic your dress). It think its more important to pick your date and venue before you pick you BM dress. (I can’t have a crushed velvet BM dress for my July wedding in PV but I would’ve loved it for a wedding in the winter on a Vineyard, sigh…) I have the style of my BM dresses picked (we’re planning on having them made) but I still don’t know what I want for my dress. (well I’ve seen styles but I don’t want to say “this is the dress†until I try some on.)
