  1. They were not that hard to make. I purchased the cardstock at KelleyPaper ( I just purchased the heaviest one they had.) However they did have this paper at Michael’s as well. The cardstock for the envelope is from Staples. What actually happened was that my mother purchased the paper through her work but I felt it was too thin so I went and purchased the thicker paper for the tickets. I used the Aylee templates and just played with the design on Microsoft Publisher. But FYI, I had such a hard time getting the printer to cooperate with me. The paper was so thick that the printer did not want to grab it. But I loved the finished product and everyone raved about it! Aylee can make them for you. They are actually very popular right know. Try googling “boarding pass invitation†and I’m sure you can find vendors. Also use our search box to find Aylee’s template and website. (sorry I don’t have it right now). Tasha (Nabumbah), Anny (anacgarcia), and LALA all made them too, you can find instructions that we all posted while making them all over the site! Let me know if you need more help.

  4. Ohh I love the ideas thanks. I’m not planning on taking the bamboo with me. I’m sure there is a Lowes or Home Depot type store in PV. If not, I have family in Mexico who are driving to PV. I can try and ask them. Hmmm. I’m going to ask my dad to try and get some bamboo poles so that we can try it!
  5. thanks tasha! Its really just a thought. If it does happen, I have a really handy father, 10 GM and 1 FI who would have the honors to build it!
  6. I know what you mean, I don't know if I could ever leave L.A.
  7. I see, hmmm. I have to think about it some more. I made a slide show for my bro for his 10yr anniv of his passing, and we used the siding from the white plastic tent as a back drop and that worked great. I'll have to see what i can find.
  8. of course! PM me with your email and I'll attach the price list
  9. Ohh, i really don't want my belly bigger than it is now, haha! How much fun would it be if you moved back!!
  10. omg! Please don't remind me!
  11. We can dig holes in the sand and fill it with rocks. I'm not sure which fabric to use either. I don't think it would have to be perfect, I imagine it would be nice for the fabric to flow in the wind.
  12. you can handle it!!! If we were still on the same coast, I'd be right over to help! And yes, there will be lots of tequila at our wedding so you can destress!
  13. okay, since Christine has dubbed me the New (future) DIY queen, I have the ultimate challange. Call me crazy but, I have invisioned making my own backdrop screen for a slide show on the beach. My bro said he may get a projector and I have the software to make a "movie" on my computer. I have invisioned using two bamboo poles and white fabric as a sceen. Could you imagine Yes I live in lala land but the wedding is a year away and this will be my ultimate project. Any thoughts? Suggestions?.... instructions
  14. haha, thanks! I put a lot of work into them, I almost threw the printer out the window too!
  15. Awwww thanks Christine!!! I have to admit, I stole many ideas from Aylee, LALA, and Anny! Here it is again for those who missed it.
  16. I had my date reserved but decided to change venues and went with the Mayan instead. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t34 I LOVE Dreams as a vacation get-a-way, but I always had reservations since they would only allow us to stay untill 11pm. Then trying to get answers from the WC drove me nuts. With that said, if are not into the little details then you should be okay with Dreams. However, if you are, I would def consider contacting an outside WC. I loved Kristin at Puerto Vallarta Wedding Coordinator - Wedding in Puerto Vallarta - The Dazzling Details but I couldn't afford her. But you HAVE to check out her weddings. She has done quite a few at Dreams. Another reason why we opted out was due to the fact that most brides finalize their decisions once they arrive to Dreams (cake, flowers, dinner, location). We are expecting over 150 ppl and there was not way I could that. I have to agree with Amanda and Tammy though, I've read a ton of reviews of weddings at Dreams and everyone has been happy with the results. this is a video of a wedding at dreams pv YouTube - Levi and Christinas Wedding In the ideal world, I would have Marco (our WC at the Mayan), a wedding until 2am (as we are now) and Dreams as our resort/ wedding location. But a girl can't have it all
  17. Its beautiful Anny!!! Congrats! Doesn't it seem so real?? (and close??)
  18. I've never been there nor am I getting married there but it looks beautiful. I've come across it online several times. Obviously its part of the Palace resorts and they are known for luxory. But FYI, VP is in Nuevo Vallarta not Puerto Vallarta so its a little for from everything. If we decide to have a HM in Vallarta, this is a hotel we've considered.

  20. Oh I love C&O!!! those garlic rolls are evil. I went 3 times last month!
  21. Tammy said we could have 2 this month, but there was a tie, so we have 3! Congrats to our April MothM's!!! Christa (A10CALGAL), Glenda (Nrvsbride) and Meilssa (MexicoMelissa).
  22. I agree with Christine- I think its a waste of $$ for smores. Maybe some other type of activity Hmm, how about a group trash the dress session with your photog?? (haha, sorry, I just saw Sol and Matts video)
