I don't think the sax is always in the group but it was perfect. We were surprised there wasn't a bass but they had midi tracks that they played with and it sounded just fine. A lot of bands do that.
The music started around dinner time so we actually didn't have any down time. We were told we could hook up our ipod if we wanted to or use their music but we really didn't need to. The band played pop/jazz during dinner and we requested some latin, rock, salsa type music during dancing. If you specify certain songs they'll probably do it. They did our first dance song too and it was great!
-Laura Thanks so much Laura. We have requested a latin versitile band. Almost all of our guests are spanish speakers so we plan on using an IPod or premixing a couple CD's with English (hip-hop, 80's) and Reggaeton during their down time! I'm ready to sign the contract, but Carlos has not responded and its so frustrating.
We had a contract and were ready to sign in Jan but we ended up switching venues so we no longer needed to rent a dance floor/ stage from them. Now we are waiting for a revised contract from them but he hasn't sent it even though we've sent a number of emails. Our WC at the Mayan told us that they are realiable so we've decided to keep trying!
