  1. okay, I'm home so I can finally contribute to this thread... we are having issues too... my cousin is sending me ideas here and there, we will still used flowers but very little.. (I'm thinking). Here are my thoughts so far... I guess, these candle base are really popular in Mexico, from what she's told me. I really love the height and could replace the flowers with tall grass?? (roccodesigner.com) and replace the roses with river rocks and scatter random orchids around the them?? or maybe add this anthirum?? (prisarvallarta.com) I found a vendor in MX who makes these candles/bases http://www.alegresvelas.com.mx/pantallasflot.html They were charging me about $13 for something like this (includes base and 2 candles) And I'm planning on contacting these bulk flower growers that Merryme informed us about. www.guiaverdemexico.com® Finca Argovia Tapachula - www.Cuilcovalley.com.mx

  4. Hi Beth, That's a concern we had to (we are flying our own photog now). Have you tried contacting her to see if she can work with you. These are links where you can find some info on her. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...=paulina+ulloa http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...=paulina+ulloa
  5. Wow Jamy, that would be great if you could get me some pics! How crazy that she had a pic of the Camino Real, what a sweet memory to add to your album! And I will def need to look at that book. I found it last night searching the internet for pics. I hope I can pull if off!

Thanks for refering me to her too! No problem! I was waiting for her website to run before we made our decision, but it turned up more than a month later and we had alread signed a contract with our current photog. Oh well! I'm not going to think about it anymore... This was very difficult!

Thanks for your help : ) Paulina does not have a website, most pics on thedazzlingdetails are her shots, they state the photogs name on the bottom right (ie Puerto Vallarta Wedding Coordinator - The Dazzling Details) Here's a wedding she did. caseyrebecca ward (caseyrebecca) : photos : Second Installment of Wedding Pics - powered by SmugMug pablo and casey I attached a price list (a long time ago) on this thread http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...tographer.html I think this may also be compiled in this list (attached). It has price info from photogs I've contacted or other girl's were able to foward me. PV Photographers.doc
  10. I missed your first post, oops! That link has a better pic of the church!
  11. Thank you! I was just on that site, I was hoping for a better shot of the church, the seahorse, the arcs. But thanks so much!

For me, I didn't have a huge budget. I didn't want to go over $1200, so a mass amount of prints wasn't a priority. I figured as long as I owned rights to the negatives or a cd of prints, I could always print them when I could afford more (or even if I wanted more.) Sorry this didn't answer your question directly, but I hoped it would help. I'm using elfoto.org (Beth Fladung) but I haven't had my wedding yet to share my experience with her. So far she has been great with communicating and I think she may join the forum. Beth had a great package! You are right. I should mention that I didn't want prints and prefer to get the CD too, I'm getting the CD(s) with my photog now. I'm sure your pics are going to be amazing!
  13. I'm working on designs for our lables which will be placed on tequila bottles at each table. I'm thinking of using Historic/ Vintage pictures of landmarks of Vallarta as the backdrop of our label, or maybe distorting a pic and making it look worn?? Can anyone help me find these images? Thanks so much!
  14. I know exactly what you mean. The few that I thought were decent hardly gave you any pictures to take home. In the end we decided to pay to fly our photog- believe me I did not want to spend this much on a photographer but I thougt it was worth $3000 for engagement, second shooter, and full day of wedding shots, instead of paying $1000 for 4 hours and work I would not be happy with. Again, it was a VERY difficult decision. If my FI would not have agree, I think I would have gone with elfoto.org or Paulina Ulloa (you can see her work on thedazzlingdetails.com)
  15. Its only your first day... there are many more to go.. I like the back of the second one, very cute!
  16. they're cute. I would give them out during the dance part of the wedding. We may take florescent necklaces and have the band throw them out while they play.. just an idea.

Very cute Maria! I think we may either do the poloroid book or make a photo book with our pics prior and have our guests sign it (kinda like a year book, I read someone else posted this too).
  18. We're not having our ceremony at the Mayan, so the tents would be on the beach for the reception. He didn't tell me how much they were, he only said that he can get great rates, I know I should have asked but I figured there was no going back anyways- we had already placed our deposit.
