I just got an email form Marco, he is leaving He's heading to the Mayan Resort in Cabo (not sure which one). I'm really sad, but I had a feeling this would happen since it seems so common. This is the new conctact info he gave me, but contact him first before contacting Erika: Érika Tovar, Asistente de Gerencia Teléfono: (322) 226 60 34, Correo: Mayan Palace -

Heidi, I am so sorry. I wish I could say more, but I was praying so much for you and Reggie and the baby, I am really shocked. Big hug. Let us know if there is something we can do.

I too love sashes on dresses, I just personally don't like them with lace. But that's just me. LOL. You are going to look so beautiful, Hans is going to flip! Are you still going to wait until November to get your dress or will you get it now? You are too funny Glenda! I LOVE being short, especially when Hans hugs me I understand what you mean about wearing heals with your dress, it really does, the sales people at other stores kept insisting that I put on heels, lol. I am still waiting for November, but if I don't find anything there, then I'm running the to get the San Patrick dress! Quote: Originally Posted by jenvh What is the Brides against Cancer Dress Sale? Thanks Ladies!!! I'm so excited (yes I've said that already, hehe!) Quote: Originally Posted by Nrvsbride You already made your decision (YAY!) but for what its worth here are my two cents. First of all, you and I have very similar taste, I heart, heart, heart lace dresses with the mantilla veil. I honestly could not make a decision. I love them both. I love the bottom detailing on the first dress it is beautiful. But the second dress is just as equally beautiful. I don't think the 1st dress makes your hips look wide at all. Are you wearing shoes in these pics? How tall are you? I don't know if its the pics but you look on the shorter side to me. Sometimes when people are shorter, dresses look different than on those stupid tall girl manequins (sorry to the tall girls, I'm just a hater cuz I'm short). Maybe that's why you think the first dress isn't so flattering. If you wear really high heels it may look much different. Either one you choose is beautiful. You are going to look stunning. But I have to be honest I don't like the sash. I think its too busy to wear a sash with a lace dress. I know Monique Lulliher does this a lot but I think this is one of those "runway" things where they look good on the runway but not in real life. But if you love it, then you should def wear it. I'm so excited for you getting a dress! Glenda, I am short and not thin so the first dress looked so different on me. I am 5'3 and i was not wearing shoes. I don't want to wear super high heels since I like being short. I wear flats all the time and don't want to feel uncomfortable throughout the ceremony. Plus I plan to be barefoot for most of the reception. The sash I tried on does not go with the dress. I plan to add a thick chocolate brown sash for the reception after I throw off my veil. I really do love the way sashes look with dresses.

Thank you so much Ladies!!! #2 it is! I was leaning towards this one, since its more affordable and if I don't loose the weight I plan to, I'll still fell okay lol. It really is a beautiful dress, both really are. Paula, once I tried on this Mantilla with the lace, I really fell in love, I think I loved it better then the dresses. Its about 125 feet long! I really want it, but its pricey so I may have it made by that ebay vendor that Ann got her veil from, I just need to find some lace that matches the dress. I'm so excited!!!

Thanks so much ladies! My mom likes the Pronovia dress while my SIL likes the San Patrick! Ahhhh! Quote: Originally Posted by MikkiStreak I would say the Pronovia dress. The other dress looks good too, but I'm just not a fan of that black sash and overall, it just doesn't have that 'pop' for me like the Pronovia dress does... We added the brown sash, which I plan to use during the reception only. The sash looked much better in person, ironically it was actually a champagne color. I really love the bottom of this dress but its a couple $600 more than the San Patricks dress (which I found at RK bridal for $1000) plus the cost of all the alterations. Thats what has me the most conserned.. Quote: Originally Posted by Sharonie Amy, I picked Pronovia dress. It shows your curves much better, your hips are not big at all! The other dress doesn't really stand out. But I agree, if you make the top on the Pronovia dress into a sweetheart, it will look even better!! You are toooo sweet, lol.. Quote: Originally Posted by mora Amy I voted for #2, both are really nice but I think it St. Patrick looks much better, In the pics from Pronovia I see is not so narrowed at the bottom, is just my imagination, can be used that way? that could be an option... Its the way I'm standing, the dress is actually bunched at the bottom, we didn't fix it when taking the picture. It does open up. I prefer the lace on the San Patrick dress though. I just want it all!

How annoying, but good think it worked out in the end. Have we seen pics of your dress Angela? -

Reception ettiquette for DJ & Photographer
amyh replied to olisa6's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
We plan to feed our photographer and her assistant. They will be there for 13 hours! I also think its in the contract. Our band requested a table and non-alcholic drinks for their breaks (also in their contract). -
I'm so sorry for the large images. I've tried shrinking them for the past 20 minutes and no luck, sorry. I've narrowed my search to two dresses but I'm waiting for the Brides Against Cancer Dress Sale, which comes to L.A. in November, to make my decision. Here they are... (please excuse the price, I sent this to my mom and SIL to help me decide) Either dress will be altered to have a slight sweetheart top and lower back. Pronovias Nerveo- I love the detail on the bottom, but its a mermaid cut and makes my hips look even bigger San Patrick Real, more traditional, but the cut is a little more flattering. The lace stands out and I plan to add some tulle on top to give it the feature of the bottom pic. (its also more affordable, I found it on RK Bridal for $300 cheaper!)
