If so are you renting a tent? My WC keeps insisting that we do so and I really don't want to. She says its rainy season and is really pusing us in renting a $3000 tent! Insane! FI and I feel like waiting to monitor the weather, but I wanted to see what any other June/July brides are doing.

There were a few things that I modified in the eating plan, which I'm sure you'll do as well to accommodate your liking. Good luck! Thanks so much Sandra. I need this book. If I can change one thing about myself, it would be my skin. I hate it and literally cry about it. I avoid wearing make-up when ever possible (M-F). I break out so easily. Glenda, I have many more problem areas, but I've reached a point where I told myself that if I am too lazy (which I am) to change it, I need to embrace it. So I love my body and all its jelly!
  3. Lizz, I missed this! Everything looks great! I love your e-ring, I don't think I've ever seen it. And what are you talking about "no DIY stuff"-- You made OOT bags, Tags! What do you call that?
  4. Aww Tammy, that sucks. I would be pissed too if FI didn't have a reaction. We put so much energy in planning something so special for our guys, I don't think they understand sometimes. Yes, try calling your photog in hopes that she/he still has the proofs.

Thanks Maura. I've heard hear of worse horror stories like your friends. My dress is all lace so I know it's more expensive to alter, however, I just hope he doesn't charge me more if he does have to fix it again. I'm so passive, I hate it. My mom even said she should've come with me, haha. She knows how to speak up. I wanted to take my dress to the seamstress making the dresses for my BM's, but she won't touch bridal dresses (unless she's making it from scratch).

  10. Hi Lisa, that could have been my post, and most likely the prices have changed (those were 2007 prices). The site fee only includes the site location (beach, jetty, sunset bar, dance floor, lighting) and set up (tables, chairs, linens, glassware, etc). The rate is dependent on the number of guests. In addition to that there is a corkage fee/ or open bar option. And a 3 or 4 course menu or buffet. Cake is not included. I booked the Mayan with out Prisar, but I've heard she's great at negotiating. So I'm sure you can give her a budget and she can get you a good deal. HTH
  11. Beautiful pictures and great review! I'm confused, did you have your baby days before planning or days before your actual wedding? Either way congrats for your wedding and baby!

Oh good, I thouht I was a fool to pay up front. They kept stressing that the dress will be ready before then. But they also made it seem as thought thats all the time they needed. He did put pins everywhere. He is changing the to from a straight strapless and adding a dip (kind of like a sweet heart) and (gasp!) letting it out some. It zips but is pretty snug. She is also fixing the front too, its to big. Any how, I'm just nervous b/c I thought you needed several fittings!
  14. Hi Felicity. Please run a search. There are several threads on this topic. Thanks.
  15. What a beautiful place Shelley! How was your flight?
  16. I forgot to add, I went to get my first fitting yesterday. They charged me $320 for alterations! I was pissed. This does not include alterations for the length, they wanted to charge me $150 for that length alone! They made me pay up front. Is that wrong? Also, they said it would be ready June 20th? Don't I need more than one fitting?
  17. I need to check my acct!!! Thanks Christine!
  18. I am so behind, didn't you just get engaged? Have fun!
  19. Katrina! That's my wedding date! How fun! Maura- I'm so sorry that you are going through this with your FI. Hans and I have gone throught it ourselves. Currently he is actually helping me out, but honestly, this wedding has been all me!
