We were laying on the beach at the Westin our last day there, and I was staring at the jetty just daydreaming. It is such a lovely location. Too bad Martin is set against a "hotel" ceremony. Or maybe that's a good thing because then it would be more decisions for me which I obviously don't need wow, that sucks! Honestly, I would never HM there. The hotel is so-so, I'm sure you remember my posts about this hotel, but it was affordable and and AI and in the vicinity. I doubt my review will be A+ but it will do and I'm sure we'll still have a great time. I better love the Mayan! It will be too late to change plans once I arrive in PV- 3 days prior to my wedding day!
  2. How exciting! I can't wait to see how it all turns out! We are not providing transportation, we just have way too many guests. Plus our WC said that its very difficult to get a bus throught the streets in downtown where the ceremony is at. Also, we settled on Melia because its within walking distance of the Mayan. Most of our guests are staying at Melia.
  3. Edna actually provided the correct recipe. I was planning to do the Michelada but she suggested the we do the Clamato con Cerveza. Quote: Michelada is just beer lime, tabasco or viuda, ice and salt and the Clamato con Cerveza, is Salsa Inglesa, Viuda Sauce or Tabasco, Jugo Maggi, lime, salt, clam/tomato juice and Beer!!!! "Copy" all you want! I don't mind at all. That's why the forum is here!

My planner told me we have to get a canopy due to the possibility of rain. Believe me I know! My FI is Latin so I think we can generally say, Latinos don't believe in RSVP's! Our deadline was May 1st, however this just in this past week alone, our number jumped from 159 to 175! My question was about the rain. I wanted to see if you were getting the same suggestion. The tent we need to get is sooo pricey and I just want to break down and cry everytime I think about, but I refuse to go indoors. I don't even think that's an option at our resort. Anyhow, we'll just have to suck it in. Do you mind sharing info about your vendors? My WC is PrisarVallarta and we are hiring Enlace for our band. Let me know if you need any other info!
  5. Yes, that's right I do remember reading that! How many guests are you planning to have. I believe I asked you, but are you having your reception outdoors?
  6. I love your dress! That wasn't the same one you first posted right?? It looks so good on you! And I love your current hair color! Can't wait to see the final result!!!
  7. Really! My mom thought it would be funny. She's actually the one who is gathering all the meds! We are having our ceremony at the Parroquia de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe and the reception at the Mayan in the Marina. We are staying with our guest at the Melia then move down to Nuevo Vallarta for our honeymoon. I believe I read that you are getting married at a villa, correct?
  8. I don't think this has anything to do with the location, as much as the airline itself. I know Mexicana did lower the weight recently. Mexicana.com
  9. Yes, i finally found another PV bride getting married on the same day! As for the Pinche, my fam is Mexican, Hans is Latin too, so I know they'll get the joke and won't get offended. After all, it is a hang over kit.

We'll be at the Melia in July so I'll let you know if that is true. I think they cater to families, I know Melia is more of a family resort. They do have Kings, I know since some of my guests booked them, however most of my guests are traveling with children or so they prefer a family room. Thanks for the review J!
  11. I see you missed my thread, haha! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t21615-3 we decided to say "La Pinche Cruda" = the damn hang over
  12. I printed mine too and thought they looked great! Stamps were expensive alone, I can't imagine having to pay someone to write the address. (I sent 150 invites).
  13. That does suck. You know what, its one less person to stress about. We had a GM back out this week. He rsvp'd and assured him he and his wife would go and we purchased his suit and tie. I had a feeling he wasn't going to go and I wasted so much time bitching to Hans wondering when he was going to book and when he was going to pick up his suit. I knew he was going to back out and honestly, I feel so much better now that he finally confirmed what we were feeling all along.
  14. Thank for the quick update! Can't wait to see more pics!
  15. Thanks for all your help! We decided on 3A! I can't wait to see how they turn out!

We wanted something funny so my brother suggested La Pinche Cruda since we plan to have a ton of tequila at the wedding! Its so funny, most of our favors are alcohol related - personalized shot glasses and tequila bottles and a hang over kit! Quote: Originally Posted by Raeka I voted for 2A. JAJAJAJA I really liked the idea of "pinche cruda" JAJAJAJAJAJAJAAJAJA and by the way my containers for my hang over kits are metal tins that arrived yesterday!!! Thanks Edna! I need to save this! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
  17. Have a great time! I am secretly jealous! I was a little disapointed we didn't go to LV for mine, but hey can't complain since we are getting married in PV! Make sure to visit the boys at the OG! Lol!
  18. too cute! I love little kids, they always make you laugh at the most innocent things! My 1 1/2 yr old god daughter just became a fan of Shreck- although she pronounces it as "Fuck" haha, she's like, "loooook its Fuck!!!!"
  19. How sweet! I am so jealous! I don't have any sisters and it's weird how much I envy those around me who have that bond. Especially now. So cute! I had no idea you were HS sweethearts!
