  1. Thats okay. I'm thinking I'll probrably go with a full AI hotel because having an option for guests may cause confusion for me. I've noticed that the rates I've received from EP/AI hotels for a reception are expensive. mostly because you need to pay for open bar service. Then they offer you a discount or freebies depending on how many rooms you book. But it would be nice to know what the marriot offers. My parents visited the hotel a couple of years ago while they here at port during a cruise. They said it was a very nice hotel.
  2. No problem.. I'm a little over them anyways. The hotel never responded to my email.

I realistically do not think any of my future generations would wear it. OMG Karla. Thats all you paid for your dress! I love love your dress! ( By the way I love the photos from you wedding you look beautiful!)
  4. I love that look. I wonder how I would be able to set up the long tables for a larger group?

Congrats Rosa! I'm sure you can find all the info you need for you wedding on this site! There are a ton of Dreams-Cabo brides here. (It kind of makes us non-Cabo brides start reconsidering our location... j/k)

  7. Congrats and Welcome! I can't dont have any info on those two places. The only part of the carribean I've visited is Puerto Rico. It was beautiful! But I noticed we haven't developed an area for that yet. Oh well!

I went on easter weekend so if you consider it just make sure that doesn't happen to you!! otherwise the hotel is beautiful!! good to know. The hotel has very mixed reviews on travel sites. But I love the location. Plus, a lot of my cousins would love the fact that there is a club on site! It's a running joke with my fi that we can just go to the club to continue the wedding (the site says it closes at 4 or 6am!)

The drive from guadalajara to PV is only about 4 hours (we did this a couple years ago). So I'm thinking of having my centerpeices made in there and have an aunt deliver them to PV (if she dooesn't mind)

  11. Just curious. My fam is from Jalisco so we're planning on havina our wedding in PV so that the family from California plan a vaca if they want to go back home as well. Also because the fam I have in Mexico can help me plan if needed.

(this includes an uncle-mom's brother, who has 12 children who are all grown and married, and 33 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild on the way!)
  15. although I can't comment on each hotel on their own, I can say that AI is the way to go. My family has always gone AI when traveling through Mexico. Its so much better and well worth it. (especially considering how much food and alcohol can add up!)

I'll post it soon.
  17. Thanks for the link of the arial view. By the way, have you heard of any reviews for the NH Krystal? They have beautiful weddings on their website but I haven't been able to see any reviews from real brides. Ann, I've emailed the Marriott CasaMagna. Hopefully they will respond soon. I do believe they are all inclusive at this resort.
  18. Okay.. I think I may have gone too far but I've found some links to footage of weddings in PV on YouTube. There are all sorts of PV videos, so you may want to search on thier website if there is any footage on the hotel (or excursions) you are considering. (for Cabo Brides; I entered "Cabo Weddings" and a ton of videos popped up! Too bad I'm not having my wedding there.) But here's what I found for PV A short clip of Photog David Jay shooting a wedding YouTube - || davidjay || in Mexico his website A clip of random weddings in PV. (I noticed some couples are from website.) YouTube - Puerto Vallarta Weddings YouTube - Wedding Demo and for you Ann, a glimpse of Las Caletas. It's not a wedding, though it can give you an idea of what yours may look like! YouTube - Las Caletas Beach tour
  19. I wonder if you would still need to cover hotel and air/ground fare? I love her style.
  20. I am interested to know if anyone has requested any info from this hotel?
  21. I found this link from a knotties page which I must give credit to:"Vibi" She has posted her slideshow from her wedding at Playa Fiesta. Puerto Vallarta Mexico Destination Wedding Photography by Brian Tsai - Life Mosaics The photos are beautiful however the photog is from Texas I believe
  22. special offers for wedding websites through the knot. I don't have mine yet and probrably won't untill we set our date and location. But once we do, I'll make sure to post. pwp_offers
  23. My FI and I are planning on visiting PV in late Feb for our June/July 2008 DW. I feel as though we should have the downpayment ready just incase we fall in love with a site when we go. I am wondering how much most put down to reserve your wedding date? I know each place is different, however, I just want a number to work with. We plan on having the reception only at the hotel with approx 125-150 ppl? (this is on the high end of a #) Thanks, Amy
