I'm planning on having a Catholic Church ceremony. Which church are you having your wedding at?

OMG! I'm reading through all these posts and cannot believe how expensive weddings are. We are trying to keep our budget at $20,000 for the wedding only. Meaning we are not including our travel, attire, rings. We are expecting 150 ppl are applying the "worst case scenario" non-guest rate at $55 pp. That is still alot cheaper than having a wedding here in LA. When I began researching venues here, I estimated $70,000 for venue/dinner reception for 250 ppl! I tell everyone this when they ask, "why are you doing your wedding in PV" Do I look like I can afford a wedding here??

We are not having an AHR. One reception is enough for us.

I have a question for any one who used Aylee. How does she send you your monogram (word, powerpoint, etc??) and how do you apply it to what ever else you are using. I made the exact mongram with the Circle, Palm tree and cant seem to apply it to my projects. Help!!!

Welcome Amy! We're getting married at dreams on July 4, 2008! Hmmm, I'm not having a WD, but instead will try to plan a group activity (most likely a day cruise). A new photog from PV just joined the forum. You may want to contact him for prices but to be quite honest, all the photogs I've contacted start at $3000.

Thanks girls! Aylee has a link on on how to make your own monograms. I used Power point. I was up till 2 am making more. I'm going to go crazy trying to pick which one I'm going to use. I even found that cute palmtree that others have used on clipart folder and I was able to fill it in with my wedding colors. So I'm going to try to make one of those. I love it!

Brenda, I was being sarcastic. Dreams actually has a la cart options, so I doubt that we'll be eating buffets all week. you should go with the buffet especially if your group has different taste in food. We're expecting about 150 guests so I don't think the buffet will work (I can imagine the line)

we're doing sit down.. I having a feeling that my guests will be sick of a buffet from staying at an AI all week... hehehe No really, I still want something formal and the prices the WC gave me were for a sit down so I thought "Why Not?"

Thats a good idea anny! I'll ask my cousins if they have any friends who can play. The good thing about enlace is that they I can request other types of musicians if i need to. But I was trying to find this type on my own.

WOW!!!! thats alot of mulah!!! I'm thinking of getting a solo guitar. I love the sound of an acoustic guitar but I havent come across one in PV yet.
