Did you get the bach party invite yet? I am using my grandma's closet as a storeroom right now. Its nice to have family close by. How exciting! Can't wait.. we will try to make it, I've never been up north.. sad I know.. I haven't rec'd the Bach invite?? We've been having trouble with our mail lately, hmm.. I'll keep an eye out!
  2. Thanks, Christine.. I did come across this site, but what I am trying to do is make a mock design so that I can send the pic to my cousin in Mexico. I'm sure she can find the vases there, that way I won't have to spend on shipping!
  3. Thanks Christine.. I agree, less is better. Guys don't seem to understand that, Hans thinks I should add more- more rocks, flowers. I think I'm not to fond of my first trial because nothing seems to pop! I think I'm going to try something different next time.. Each vase will have a different look... Hmmm..

  5. You're right! My parents are thinking of getting a suite, but I really do not want to stay with them even if I get a seperate room with in the suite! But who knows.. we have more than a year to go..
  6. Thanks Ladies! Sarah (BEACHBRIDEMA) I like the idea of pink but I want to try and stick to my color scheme. I thought of adding a different type of flower, maybe casa blanca lillies?? Of some other type? Sarah(Sassygirl): I did buy the vases and river rocks at IKEA. And actually, yesterday morning we went to the flower district in Downtown L.A. and saw the larger orchids and curly willow, but I didn't have cash and didn't plan on purchasing anything. I just wanted to see what flowers were out there. But once we left I had an itch to make a trial run! We went crazy trying to find the orchids and curlywillow! I went to Micheals to purchase fake ones, and they were horrible and expensive. I then went to 2 flower shops and purchased the curly willow and mini orchids (they were already wiltering!) I didn't plan on using river rocks, my FI said we should. But maybe I could only add it to one? We'll see, we're going to make another run to DTLA and and get the right materials!

Haha Sarah, I'm from L.A. but I am always cold, hence the cut off socks.. plus i do my own toes.. saving any way i can!
  8. Please dont laugh!.. Here is our first trial.. These are the things I will be changing/keeping: -The orchids I purchased are mini and I need the larger ones.. -I am thinking that each vase needs a different flower, suggestions are greatly appreciated. -I want larger versions of the vases and possibly a floating candle on top of each vase. I plan on having small votives surrounding the vases. -I really like the idea of the brown table runner. I was thinking of having lime green but I think the brown is a good background FYI: my colors are brown, lime green and white this is the set-up at the Mayan: the white chairs and round tables, white lanterns are standard set up. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t34
  9. How cute!! I currently cut the tips off of socks, but I love this idea more!
  10. Oh Weight Watchers.. got it.. I did it online! It was great! I still bought the kit at a local WW but did the rest online. I really need to dust off the books though and get back on it!
  11. Debs, what is that? I'm completely missing it!
  12. How about a day spa? Puerto Vallarta Features | Fodor's Online Travel Guide I def suggest an excursion of sometype, how about the rhythms of the night tour. (this is in Las Caletas and is organized by the same agency that the brides are using) Rhythms of the Night Cruise - Vallarta Adventures Guest Comments I was also going to suggest, Nikki Beach at the Westin. I've heard that this is the spot, but I'm not sure if you mother would want to hang out there, but you never know! NIKKI BEACH
  13. Rachelle, I had a friend who did the same, but they didn't live together, so that whole month thing, was probrably not as hard as if they had. I wonder how all you girls are planning on doing this. I don't want to share a room with FI before the wedding but I know it will be a mess to share a room with some of my BM's (because there is only one single BM). I'm sure I'll be able to sort this out, I'm not sure how to go about it. Most of the GM are single so they are actually planning on getting a suite and Hans is planning on rooming with them untill the WD.
  14. Hi Cooper! Did you recieve my email?? PM me if you didn't please!
  15. That's okay Marla! Its an "Out of Town" bag which many brides are filling with goodies and giving to guests once they arrive to their destination point. Here's a link to samples but there are soo many threads on ideas on how to fill the bags or how to make them or even how much they cost http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2433 oh and this is handy too, Abbreviations! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2690

    Dreams PV Bride

Welcome to the board! We're getting married in PV on July 4, 2008. I have booked Dreams but am now in the process of changing venues to the Mayan Palace. However, I have lots of info that Marilu has sent me, so if you have any questions, you can PM me. 17. Tammy, they rate does change daily. I suggest you make this a last minute DIY. Usually the change is not drastic, so the couple of days your guests are in Mexico, the change shouldn't be that much. Also, street vendors will usually round off currently its 11.2 pesos to US$1 so they just round to 11 pesos.
  18. I think this would be great to add to your OOT bags. Go to this link and you can create a chart. Cut and paste it on cute paper to dress it up! GoCurrency - Currency Converter
  19. Oh Brenda! I think you should call Dreams! The WC needs to understand that you need to make decisions based on the information she provides for you! And tell them that to stop using the excuse that they are on "Mexico Time"!!! I'm Mexican and even I'm tired of hearing it! By the way, which Dreams are you marrying at?
  20. Welcome!!! I'm a PV bride too! MGreen is a Riu Jalisco bride and from my understanding they are next door to each other. Here is a quick link to get you started http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2709
