  1. not only that - but the boat ride is what makes it exciting and different, IMHO. and it's just an extension of the party - you're served drinks, listen to music, etc.
  2. Not sure when she gets home - maybe she said in her planning thread. I can't wait though!
  3. Congrats, Rachel, I can't believe your day is already here ... I am so excited for you. And you know we'll all be waiting to hear all of the details when you get back. I hope your trip, and your wedding, is everything you dreamed, and more. HAPPY WEDDING DAY!

Congrats - I think you made a fabulous decision ... but I might be a bit biased! lol Let us know when you have a date!
  5. ok, so what if he paid a friend to do the work? he's being so silly!
  6. men and their egos! ugh. poor Bria (love that name, btw) - all she wants is a room of her own, that's painted!
  7. oh I love when we can blame the technology! i will update your numbers ... woohoo!
  8. If nothing else, I say we hit Glenda up for her secret - she had another big loss this week ... Glenda, are you actually eating anything!? lol
  9. Do my little email reminders help at all? I don't want to be a pest - just trying to help. I usually think of it because I watch The Biggest Loser on TV, then I'll say to Paul ... "I have to send my contestants their reminder email!" Keep it up everyone - I know the ups are sooo frustrating (so sorry, Alyssa ) but in the end, it will all be worth it - you're all getting healthier, and looking better!
  10. Here are some other threads to check out ... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t4690 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2006

  13. actually we started out by having a contest - we just haven't the last few months. if you're always voting, tallying, posting the results every month - it feels like it's non stop! but we could bring back the contest aspect of this every few months or so. TammyB - thoughts?
  14. not a problem! any of those ribbons work? they're definitely not exact - but the right "theme" anyway. still looking!
  15. FYI - I removed the attachment and added the picture to the first post.
  16. here are some ideas ... where did you see the picture originally? buttons clothing sewing vintage antique sets ribbons embroidery portland button emporium Crafts, Etc! ® - Grosgrain Dotted Ribbon Crafts, Etc! ® - Grosgrain Dotted Ribbon Crafts, Etc! ® - Sheer Ribbon with Dots Chocolate w/ White Dots Double Face None are exact ... but I"m still hunting!
  17. that's true for me as well, it has nothing to do with trust ... if trust were an issue, I wouldn't have married Paul!

I actually doubt he'll end up going - he'd rather go play paintball with the boys. I do, however, have a problem with bringing strippers or dancers into the house though. I'm not exactly sure why - but I feel like more happens when guys do that. Paul went to another bachelor party where they hired 2 girls - and after the dance, the girls gave "private dances" in the back bedroom. I'd bet $$ that there was no actual dancing involved! Paul agreed (no, he wasn't one that did it, but he told me who did, and I am not surpised, this guy is a sleeze). Anyway - I totally trust Paul, so it's not an issue. Ironically, the guy that threw the party STILL feels so bad about it, because all of the women were pretty upset. He now realizes how sleezy it was. We all refer to them as prostitutes ... I mean, they were paid, had sex, ... what's the difference?
  19. FYI - I am going to merge the 2 threads so they're both in one place!
  20. Here's another thread on this too - a pretty old one. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t840 I don't really like them too much either, and I've been to a couple. I didn't tell Paul he couldn't go - but luckily it just wasn't something he wanted to do either. They just had a weekend of golfing, paintball, drinking!, etc. I was glad they didn't go, no doubt! IMHO your FI should respect how you feel about him going to a strip club - if it's not a big deal to him, what's the harm in him just not going? And that's b.s. about him not having any say, it's a cop out if you ask me - he could tell his friends he doesn't want to go to one. He should admit that he either wants to go, or doesn't have the balls to tell his buddies he doesn't want to! But he does have a say. I don't know - I can kind of see both sides. I'm no help!
  21. well, I know Jason has won the title before (or at least came close) so it doesnt' have to be a female. But good point - we'll discuss!
