Ok, you guys will never believe this. So Paul started talking to one of our regular, and favorite, nurses (well, Gwen's nurses). Somehow they got on the topic of how we got married in Mexico. Well, long story short - she comes up to me and says we've met before. I was like, how? She said BDW! Not only is she a member of this forum ... but she was married at CALETAS! How crazy is that? She wasn't on here too much, and hasn't been on for a while ... but what a small world! She said she recognized us, likely from all of the pictures I've posted! Seriously, how crazy is that. Then Paul said "is it weird that someone on your forum has seen your boobs?" (referring to me breastfeeding in front of the nurses) Then he said, "well, I guess she isn't the only one!" HAHA! So true! (for those of you that don't know, I am referring to a group boudoir session we did a while back) Oh, and I can't post w/o adding a picture!

Mo, I am so excited for you! Here's wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy! Oh, and I love your t-shirts!

Mel's LONG Review of Las Caletas May 27th Wedding
LCBride2007 replied to Mel's topic in Destination Wedding Reviews
awesome review! i love the parrots - what a cool addition. sorry about the sailboat - that doesn't sound overly pleasant, but at least you made the best of it! -
I am a Type I diabetic, but it sounds like your FI was diagnosed as Type II since he's not going on insulin - or did I read incorrectly? I use the One Touch Ultra - it works quite well for me. Problem is, I don't have a different diet than anyone else - I eat all the crap I want! lol But I just adjust my insulin accordingly. I know diabetics that aren't able to do that though, so not sure I'd really advise that for him just yet. I do strongly suggest getting a endocrinologist and dietician/nutritionist that he trusts and is good. The complications from poorly controlled diabetes are no joke.

Are you coming or what?
LCBride2007 replied to beyondsmitten's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
this isn't a traditional wedding - keep in mind that not many people can commit to an international trip within 4 days of finding out about it! i wouldn't expect RSVPs that fast, IMHO. usually you put an RSVP deadline on the invite, and it's usually weeks, if not months (for a DW). what was your deadline? -

It's wonderful that you have friends and family who were able to help him get thing ready for her homecoming. Keep the pics and videos coming!!! BTW, what kind of camcorder did you guys get? That's our last big purchase we need to make, but knowing nothing about video cameras, I don't know where to begin. Hugs, Susan there was one where i was tickling her neck because she had started laughing when i did right before that. she didn't laugh (it's not really an audible laugh, but a big smile) as much the 2nd time, but i think i got a little of it on camera. she has the cutest smile! as soon as i disconnect from this pump, i will go look at what paul bought. he said what he loved about it was the image stability feature - he says he's a little shaky so that was important to him. so far these videos are all from my really old camera, but they're not too bad. and it's all i have so far! we bought the camera, but paul found it for cheaper at circuit city so we want to get best buy to match it. Her daddy must miss her terribly huh? he did miss her - but i think it helped that his whole weekend was focused on getting her room and the house all ready for her. normally we don't go to the 11pm feeding (she eats every 3 hours right now), but i skipped the 8pm feeding to get some rest, and i'll pick paul up and we'll go to the 11pm feeding so he can see her.

I know I've told you this already ... but have fun, and RELAX! Enjoy your time with Jeff and the BDW crew. And just enjoy NOT WORKING! I'm so jealous! -
I know, she's over 5lbs now - such a big girl! lol My MIL wants a video of her crying so she can hear her ... but I can't get the girl to cry to save my life! I guess that's good - although I am not going to get too used to it, her lungs seem to be developing every day. Each little "squawk" i hear seems louder! i'll tell her not to grow up too fast for you, Sarah ... or if she does - you know I will have pictures to show off! lol i am so jealous of your trip ... i wish i were going!

I'm crazy in love with this little girl! It's so hard for me to just leave her sit at the hospital. I want to explain to her I'm not abandoning her! The nurse suggested I skip the 2pm feeding (not breastfeed) so she could sleep, because she was so sleepy. It's so hard to let her be fed by a tube - it's like I am not doing my job! But I also know she needs her rest so she can get stronger. Oh the dilema! She's up to 5lbs, 2oz. ... just over her birth weight. So she's heading in the right direction! She's taking most of her meals at night via the bottle, but sometimes needs it via the tube if she's just too tired. When I went in this morning, she was in a different outfit - that was fun! One of the nurses had told us earlier that the night shift often plays "dress up" with the babies. At least they're getting attention. She's just a doll - and I think she's so cute when she's waking up, which is usually when I am snapping pictures. BIG stretch! she was trying to cover her face - she doesn't like the camera any more than I do! almost awake! and is that the "Loser" sign she's giving me?
