I know, I wish we could be more sophisticated with this, but I just don't think it's possible. the good thing is that muscle burns more fat, so if you are gaining muscle it really should result in weight loss as well. and you should notice a change in how your clothes fit - that's actually how i judge my weight/body more than the scale.

did you change anything else in your search criteria? or did you limit it by only searching the thread title? -

I'm actually getting the same error when I search for that text, but not when I search using other text. Weird. And I did some further research and it seems to be the word "wedding." My guess is that the seach returns so many results, and that's what is causing the error. Here are some options ... 1) The link I gave you to that thread you're searching for is still there, you can use that in the meantime. 2) Or you can search without using the word "wedding" in your search; or use the advanced search and limit your search to only looking at the titles of threads. 3) Or even better, just pay attention to where that thread is and navigate there manually next time you want to read it! -
What games are there for the Wii Fit ? I saw the Jullian Michales one, but are there others? A Yoga one would be cool. Or, I could just do yoga ... lol.

We bought it when it first came out and Caterina was only a couple weeks old. There is a walking thing that you can unlock. You just step up on the board and off but it clicks on the remote when you are supposed to step and you can set it for like 20 minutes or more if you want. I would put Caterina in her sling and turn that on and then you can change the channel and watch tv and just step when it clicks. I'd set it for 20/30 minutes and start it and it would rock cattie to sleep while I got a small work out! Oooo and Jillian Michaels has a work out game to go along w/ the Wii board. I haven't bought it yet, but I really want it! Ugh, I had the 24 hour thing over the holidays, and so did Paul. Somehow Gwen escaped it! So for like Yoga on the Wii - is it just a bunch of individual poses, or does it ever go through a series of poses like you would in a class? Hmmm, you're going to have to tell me how that walking thing works!

can you tell us what happens? i think we're looking into the issue, but if you could provide some details about what you're doing and what problems you're having that would be helpful. -
Ok, I'm just getting worse and worse ... last night I had some chicken for dinner (not terrible, I guess) and then some pumpkin bread. Followed up by an ice cream drumstick, and a glass of wine. Who does that!? lol Quote: Originally Posted by Jacilynda I know that might sound crazy to have alcohol at a baby party, but we weren't getting drunk or anything. We have one of those jimmy buffet margarita makers so they were so easy. Although, honestly i was thinking about everything to make for a bbq and didn't keep in mind exactly what cattie could eat! i cut up a burger for her (she loves ketchup) but she doesn't eat ALOT of that. I don't give her chips because she likes the taste so much she doesn't chew on them and she chokes! So I ended up running inside to make her a grilled cheese real quick! I should have made pasta salad or something, just something more for her to eat or had a veggie plate. cattie really likes balloons so we had quite a few. We have a deck on the side of yard w/ tiki torches around so we tied them on there. cattie loves the attention and everyone wants to play w/ her so it was a great time! So really my only tip would be to make sure there is something gwen can eat! Other than that we played music, you could play games, whatev. i can't believe they are growing up!!! I don't even feel like Caterina is a baby anymore, she's a full on toddler !!! Although she's walking everywhere and had fun playing all day! Ummmm, I'm pretty sure no one would show up if we didn't have any alcohol! lol I totally plan on having beer and wine - not sure about other drinks just cuz it's in the afternoon and most of my friends/family are beer drinkers. But absolutely I will have alcohol - I just won't be serving it to the kiddos! Good tip on making sure there's something for the kids/babies to eat. Cattie sounds like she's eating a lot more "grown up" food than Gwen - I've been pretty lazy in giving her stuff I am eating. Problem is I really don't cook during the week since it's just me - but I really should. I need to branch out more. But she has had grilled cheese - and LOVES it! Cheese might be her favorite food. She hasn't had pasta yet - I keep forgetting about that easy option. I just haven't been getting to the gym, even though they have day care available.

But i feel SO gross and NEED so badly to lose the weight that I'm going to force myself to go run! kelly the tips are definitely great!!! These are the kinds of things I'm needing to see! we're having a 1st bday bbq for Gwen too ... man, they do grow up fast! any tips? i really want this to be a chill, casual affair - we weren't even going to have a bday party for her until the in-laws decided to drive up from chicago!

So don't worry about it, it's really not a big deal, you did nothing wrong!

Scubadiva and Jacilyn - if you want your $$ back, just let me know. But if not, then let's drop the issue and lose some weight! Look at it as some extra motivation. For the next season we can adjust the rules if enough people agree that men should either not be allowed, or should be treated differently. But since it wasn't in the rules at the start of this season, it wouldn't be fair to make that rule now - unless, of cousre, all paying participants agree. And I don't see that happening!

Thanks, all! But to be honest, I think I am going to try just playing along and see if that's motivation enough - jsut the weighing in every week. And I can't forget to weigh in while I'm hosting this, so I know I can't slack off! My goal is to trim and tone more than it is to lose weight anyway, so I wouldn't be much competition. I wouldn't mind losing 10lbs, but it's more about the squishiness!
