To all current and future Caletas brides (and grooms!?) - would anyone care to review these documents and let me know if any updates need to be made ... please! They were created a little while ago, and I want to keep them current. So anything like updated information, new questions/answers to add, etc. Let me know - just post here or send me a PM.

I'd give you points to do that, but I dont have access to the vbPlaza ... dang! I haven't been around much, ladies, but I wanted to pop in and say hi. And a special welcome to the "newer" Caletas brides .. I never get tired of hearing about the details and seeing the pictures.

I had to stop watching this mid-season when we left for the UK. I had planned to watch it online or something, but not with this internet connection! So I've caught up just by reading this thread. I held off reading it, thinking I would somehow be able to watch it later, but I gave in. Maybe I can watch it when we get home to teh US, since I was recording it. Keep the updates coming, girls! lol Oh, and for the record, while I do agree it's fun to watch the next season when you know the person, I'm ready for some new blood! For a light-hearted competition between "friends" on here, it was awful. I was getting PMs and emails telling me how this person cheated, and that person was being mean, or something wasn't fair. When all of that started happening, it wasn't fun anymore. So yes, one (or more than one, actually) person ruined it for the rest. And just so you're aware, this isnt' my job, I don't get paid. The moderators here do what we do because we love this forum, want to see it work for others like it worked for us when we were planning our weddings. We all have lives outside of this forum, believe it or not, and some of us are quite busy - working full time, raising a family, taking care of our pregnant selves, etc. So to say it's a shame one of us doesn't "step up" to deal with this drama and whining hit a raw nerve with me. Honestly, I was really going back and forth on whether or not to host this again. I really wanted to, it's been great in the past. But some of the reactions I've seen since I said I wasn't going to host made me realize I made the right decision. For those of you that played fair, and made it a fun competition - thank you. I hope you all succeed in your weight loss and health goals!

FYI - I've emailed my spreadsheet to Stacey since it seems she'll be taking over. Good luck everyone - I will likely be stalking this thread since it's kind of my baby! I just can't handle knowing someone may have been cheating (and all of the related PMs!). I'll be cheering everyone on from afar (really far, from England! lol)

I really didn't want to start any "he said she said" type of stuff. And I am not going to comment on anyone's suspicions on who was cheating - I don't want to play into the drama. The person who cheated (if they did) knows who they are, and that's enough for me. And like someone else said (can't remember who!) - I do believe in karma. I just wanted to let you all know that I will not be "hosting" any more Biggest Loser competitions, at least not immediately. I've had a blast, and loved watching everyone support eachother and lose the weight they want to. Maybe I will take a season off and do it again at a later date. However, this season there was just too much drama for my liking and as most of you know, I cannot stand drama. The biggest reason is that I have good reason to believe that someone was cheating. I'm not going to say who because I don't have 100% positive evidence. Even if it weren't true, there was just too much negative energy this season. I don't know if the bigger pot got to people, or if it was just the mix of people we had this time. I'd be happy to pass along the spreadsheet I've been using if anyone else would like to host. Of course, I'd not pass along any of the actual weigh-in numbers, just a template. And thanks to all of you that played fair, were supportive, and made this a fun competition! It's unfortunate that a couple "bad eggs" had to spoil it for the rest.

Hey all ... we're here, and somewhat settled. Here are the emails I sent out to friends and family a couple of days ago, and then today ... I am too lazy to type them up again! Email sent Sunday ----------------------------------------------- We're here. The flight wasn't great, I'm not going to lie! Gwen screamed on take-off, I'm assuming because of her ears (she has a cold). She slept off and on, probably for about 2 hours total. Paul and I probably slept for about 20 minutes each. But when we got "home" Gwen went down for a "nap" at 5pm, woke at 9pm, then went back down around 10:30pm, and slept until midnight. She then went back to bed around 2am and I had to wake her up around 11:30am. And now today she went down for a nap at 2:30 and is still sleeping (it's 4pm, a 6 hour difference). So she seems to sleep pretty well here, in her pack -n- play, which is good. We're pleasantly surprised with the flat, it's pretty nice. It's a 3BR, 2BA - though the 3rd bedroom is really a closet (her pack -n- play would fit, but not much else) and we're using it for storage, which is handy. There's a bathroom up and downstairs, which is convenient. And we have a nice "backyard" complete w/a slate patio area, plants, and a patch of grass. Email sent Today ----------------------------------------------- We haven't called because we don't have very good cell phone plans yet! Right now we're just doing a "pay as you go" plan, so when we call internationally (or anywhere, really) it takes up so much of our minutes and gets very expensive. Once we get a local form of payment (credit or debit card) we can get on some monthly plan that will give us more minutes for less money. On the upside, things are going well here. Gwen has been in a great mood and is sleeping like a champ. I'm hoping it's not just her still adjusting, but rather her new found love of sleep! She went to bed Sun. night at 9:30pm, and woke at 10:20am (she did get up at about midnight and I nursed her, and she went right back to sleep). Then last night she went to bed at 8:30pm, and is still sleeping (it's 8:15am) - again, she did wake up around 1am and talked to herself for a while, but I never went in there and she never fussed. She's also only been taking one nap because she's getting so much sleep at night. Fun for me. Paul leaves for work about 7:30am, and gets home around 6:30 - or at least that's the pattern in the 1.5 days we've been here! It's a ~6 minute train ride for him to work, so it can't be too far away. I haven't braved the train system yet, but I haven't had the need. I think I'll wait for Paul to come with me. We're walking distance to a big mall, and I guess what would be considered some sort of downtown area. There are like 4 grocery stores in that area - plenty to choose from, and a ton of other shops. I did get stuck up there yesterday when it started pouring rain, but Gwen and I just hung out at the mall. I've already found what seems to be a mini Babies-R-Us that has all of the essentials for Gwen, she already has a new little high chair - I got tired of chasing her around the flat to feed her. I've also already signed us up for a baby/toddler music class (at Gymboree, imagine that?!) - it's like we never left home! And there are more clothing stores, electronics stores, pharmacies, etc. than I could ever hope for - so we're in a good area. It's also where the train stop is, so once I learn Paul's schedule we can meet him up there as well. And the internet connection we have here is S-L-O-W, but I do plan on uploading some pictures/video so you can see our place. Like I said, it's pretty cute. We got lucky and got a TV and cable with the place (we're hoping we don't get a bill!), whereas most people have to get this on their own. So that's it ... like I said, the connection here is SLOW, so I won't be as active ... but I'll be around!

is the last one supposed to be "less than once a month?" yea, probably once a month, if that, here. when i traveled for work i only slept in my bed on weekends, if that (not if i went somewhere else for the weekend) so i dind't change them often. just when i happen to think about it! so i probably got in a bad habit, and now i just don't think about it much.
