  1. I see this "Important Update" on her site: IMPORTANT UPDATE: Bittersweet Wedding Designs will be booking only ONE wedding with free set up and take down for each weekend in 2010. We have come to this decision based on experiences this past wedding season. If your date is already booked, we do still offer DIY rentals at our affordable prices, and we do deliver. We will also be booking only 2 bouquet sets per week as well. We feel these changes are necessary to give ourselves the opportunity to work closer with each bride individually, in turn making her day that much more special. Granted, I've never been to her site before so I don't know if it's always said this, but at least it seems she's learning from past mistakes?
  2. you could also focus your search on 1 of 2 areas ... the geographical region you want to get married, often times you will see vendors mentioned there, or the Vendors Marketplace. also, we do have those banners/buttons on the sides of the forum that advertise some of our vendors - though this isnt' a complete list!
  3. you can always use the search function to search for that store - either by searching the entire forum or just that thread.
  4. in terms of staying motivated, i find that i have a hard time with a long term goal, it always seems so far off in the future, or too hard to achieve. what about setting weekly goals? like losing 1 lb. a week, or going to the gym 3 times, or running 10 miles total, etc. ... that way it's a smaller, more "accessible" goal and might be easier to swallow. then the next week you set a new goal, building on the last week's goal (or keep it the same).

Alyssa, do you feel like things will be safe enough with the snap closure? My only concern with snaps is having items that would usually be in my purse fall out. Thanks for the recommendation! Both of your bags are adorable! I think I got the large - she made a custom listing for me because of the custom wristlet I had made, but I am pretty sure it was the larger one. Alyssa might know for sure, I think we got the same one. The zipper is fine - if I were using it a ton I might be annoyed, since it does open wider when you unzip all of the way, but then to zip closed again you have to line up the zipper ... like you would a jacket zipper. But I don't use my diaper bag nearly as much as I did when Gwen was little. I keep it on the buggy so it's always with me, but I don't have to go into it very often. That was the exact reason I got a zipper - and not sure I"d be happy with the snaps. I will admit, I love this bag - it's cute, and has the features I need. But I do think I like my JJ Cole (from BRU) better in terms of "ease of use." Not sure I would have been happy with it if I'd have ordered this bag a while ago - but it works for me now!
  6. I've moved this to the correct sub-forum. Please try doing a search - I am sure you could find all sorts of inspiration!
  7. Here is the list I have - for the rest of 2009. I can't promise that it's complete or 100% accurate! I try to keep up with it, but I'm sure I miss things here and there. The ones with the * by them aren't very active, but hopefully they at least drop in and let us know how planning is going, and then come back and post a review ... that's what makes this forum work for everyone!

  9. looks like 3 tickers - but be careful of the size limits
  10. i'm going to post just so i can easily access my siggy, which has a link to the rules so i can check siggy rules!

You are warning future brides and the few poor attempts that Bittersweet made in Glamourina's thread were less than redeeming. So I doubt they will actually get business from the forum now. Thanks again! Here is an example!
  12. you could try talking to our very own Melissa ... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t46352 She currently lives in FL, though I know she is moving. If she can't do it herself, she may be able to suggest someone who can.
  13. i changed the thread title to see if that helps catch anyone's attention. hmmm, even though it technically doesn't start today. ooops.
  14. the problem with a post count is that it's often the newbies that are the ones buying, since they're in need of the wedding stuff. it's something to consider though.
  15. i'm a little late to this, but welcome from another Caletas bride!
  16. i see that you've posted this same question a few times. have you tried using the search function? i did, and i don't see many other posts with "Carlos Mendoza" in there other than the 5-6 you've posted. this likely means that no one has used him, or at least is they have, they haven't posted about it yet. sorry! i am going to delete and/or merge a couple of the duplicate threads you've started with this same question.
  17. also, the DIY section is a good place to look if you're looking for invites, or any paper type product.
