I know I've seen a few postings on dresses, and getting someone to make a replica. I'm wondering if anyone here has actually used anyone in particular. The dress I am looking at is Priscilla of Boston, and seems to be very popular! I tried it on today, and LOVED it! I just hesitate to order the knock off without a great referral! I know some of the look has to be just in the quality of the photography, but they look pretty darn close! These are some comments I got off of Trip Advisor when I was looking at hotel options. Not sure if it helps - but thought I'd post anyway ... 1) Have you thought of maybe Sunset Beach or Pacifica they are not on the main drag with everyone else it's on on it 's own on the Pacific side facing west. It's on a private beach! -------------------------------- 2) There are actually 4 Pueblo Bonito properties. The Rose, Blanco, Sunset Beach and Pacifico. Sunset Beach and Pacifico are located on the Pacific Ocean and the other two are in town on Medano Beach. All of them are really nice. Pacifico does not allow kids. Sunset Beach is built on a mountain so you get around the property on golf carts. Might not be the best place for a older group. Rose and Blanco are within walking distance to everything in town and is on a swimmable beach. Sunset and Pacifico you are not able to swim in the ocean because of undertows.

Hi Kimberly. I am also living in Chicago, and, for the most part, in the same boat as you. I haven't nailed down a location or date yet. We were aiming for April, but now we're thinking June. We're looking into Cabo, or Puerto Vallarta - and specifically in the the PV area, we're looking at Las Caletas, but haven't booked anything yet. It's basically a beach only accessible by boat, so it's very private. The weddings are hosted by Vallarta Adventures, and they also do many of the excursions that you mention (snorkling, scuba, etc.). I'm hardly a wedding or etiquette expert, but I don't think it's a big deal if you skip that kind of stuff! We're all on a budget, and I think people will understand, and will remember your special event regardless of whether or not they get any gifts.

Hey all - As most of you know, we are still trying to decide between getting married in Cabo or Puerto Vallarta. I have compiled a list of vendors from Cabo based on all of your recomendations (thank you!), but since we're leaning towards Puerto Vallarta, I wanted to start that list too! One big thing for us is a photographer - the pictures are something very important to me! I LOVE Juan Carlos's work - but he's in Cabo. I thought of asking him if he knew anyone, but I also wanted to ask you ladies. Does anyone know a GREAT photographer in the PV area? I love the "photojournalistic" style (lots of candids, black and whites and color, tells a story more than posed photos, etc.).

Many are getting married in Cabo, but they are still very helpful! My fiance and I are still trying to decide between Puerto Vallarta and Cabo, but we're leaning towards PV. And once I find out more about Puerto Vallarta, I will definitely share.
