  1. Oh, I haven't officially booked anything yet. Don't be surprised if I take the "easy" way out! (though I think my FI would kill me, since I talked him into the PV location)
  2. I'm right there with you, Sarah. I just keep saving off all of these great ideas knowing eventually I will get to those details ... ! Thanks for posting these, MariaElena!
  3. We had wanted June 9, but that date is taken at our location so we may just do June 8 and hand out lots of water!
  4. I posted on this thread, as well as sent him a PM, and I haven't heard back. I just assumed he was pretty busy! I agree, Amy, it would be so much easier to switch to Cabo since there is so much info. here ... but someone needs to blaze a new trail! We'll have to be sure to share everything we come up with on here!
  5. I LOVE it - I am so excited to start seeing more PV posts. I will probably book my wedding in PV this week (finally!), then I will be posting PV stuff like crazy. Watch out!
  6. There's nothing in Puerto Vallarta? Well, that doesn't make me feel great! Eh - I'm sure I'll find something lovely!
  7. I'm sure you'l forget all about work when you land in Mexico and have the first margahrita! woohoo!
  8. I keep telling myself that once I have the location and date figured out, the rest will be easy. (yea right!) I really don't want to be super unfomfortable since we're leaning towards June (I'm a sweater!) - but maybe I can just hand out fans and water misters!
  9. Oh goodie. <panic mode setting in!> I don't have a whole lot of room to move the time I don't think, but I may have to look into this, since I don't want it to be unbearable! Maybe I'll have to go back to the April idea!

I asked him about daylight savings time and he said the sun won't set until 8pm!!! did anyone figure this out for sure yet? Now I am nervous! My ceremony will likely be in early June around 6pm - will I be sweating buckets? That's SO not the look I am going for! I am getting married in Puerto Vallarta, but I assume the average temp. is all the same. I may need to rethink this ...
  11. Got it - I had to search for the style number. Very pretty - very "flowy!" You could try searching on eBay or on pre-owned sites, they may have that dress available.

Is there some other way to order these dresses? The link didn't work for me - but I'd love to see the dress!
  13. That's what I was thinking as well, #1 has a little too much going on. I voted for #2, but it was a tough choice. And as you can tell by the outcome - I don't think you can go wrong with any of them, they're all very elegant.
  14. I've never used these recipes, but this site usually has good ones, and they have very helpful reviews. Here are the results when I searched on "mole" and "chicken" - if you make it, let me know how it turns out! http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/fi...h=mole+chicken
  15. When it comes down to it, I will probably be too nervous to ship. It would be nice to not have to worry about all that extra stuff though!
  16. Good eye, Sarah (AQHARIDER)! Happy Birthday, Sarah (BEACHBRIDEMA)!
  17. I don't know if anyone has tried this, but I know people that do it for business travel all the time, but it's usually domestic. Has anyone ever tried shipping things down to their location in advance? If so, who did they use and how did it go?
  18. Ooohhhh - those are pretty, and perfect for a beach wedding! I am in a friends wedding in May, and she just picked out her bridesmaid dresses. I kind of wish I'd seen these - I like these better! I don't think I am having any bridesmaids, maybe just my 1 sister and Paul's brother standing at our sides. Now I wish I could pick out bridesmaid dresses!
  19. Can you give some items to someone else to carry with them when travelling down there? That's what I plan on doing! There are some friends that are coming down early and making a vacation out of it, so I will give them a few of the smaller items to carry for me.
  20. EXACTLY! I definitely won't do it - I just thought it was funny, and really gave me a reality check on how serious I am about losing any weight! I really do want to "trim and tone" though more than anything. Just a matter of making it to the gym ... <sigh>
  21. Tell me about it! And my FI is trying to put on weight (soooo not fair) - so he's eating all the time! When I was trying on dresses I told the woman I may lose weight, so I needed to make sure they can do the alterations. She said, "well, if you're sure, we can just order the smaller size." Hmmm ... I'm not THAT sure!
  22. I would LOVE to do a scrapbook like this - but I've got a bit of time before the wedding, so I'll have to put this on the back burner. I should probably focus on nailing down the dang date first! I just need to find this thread in about 8 months!
  23. I like the idea of the poll as well - good addition! For those of you that have ordered "custom" made dresses, how long to they really take? She's telling me I need to make up my mind SOON because they take 6 mos. - but I just started looking! Though buying used would work for me too ... I emailed one girl from www.preownedweddingdresses.com!
