  1. Sarah - that's something I'd be better at than just exercising on my own. I typically prefer group exercise at a scheduled time - otherwise I just won't go! Good luck ... and have fun!!
  2. That's what I was thinking ... and maybe the flower girls ones for the girls. But for the general public, I may still get the less expensive ones.
  3. Oh, I am getting myself into plenty of trouble as well! I bought In Style Weddings magazine, and that magazine alone has many things I shouldn't buy, but want to!
  4. Ok, these are much better priced. I am sure there is a quality difference, but not sure how many people, if any, will keep them. Pearl River

Sorry it is kind of off topic. I knew someone was thinking of doing M&Ms for a favor, so I just wanted to pass this along. It seems to be in many bridal magazines, but I thought I'd post this little deal anyway ... You can get 2 lbs. of custom M&Ms FREE when you order 50 custom printed wedding favors by 12/31/06. Go to mymms.com/wedding7 and enter the promo code WEDDING7 Not sure anyone will be able to use it, but there it is!
  6. I thought so too! They're kind of expensive, but I was thinking I could get a few fans and a few parasols, and just put them out and if people want to use them - it's first come, first serve! And people can share them - not everyone needs their own.
  7. Exactly! I may just wait until I have everything back to my maiden name before I go to the new married name. What a pain! I had mentioned NOT changing my name at all, but that didn't go over well. I told Paul I will change my name when he knocks me up ... just a little motivation! Hehe
  8. Some of these are really cute, and can have initials/words on them. They are a little spendy, but again, I thought I'd post them anyway! Pamelas Parasols
  9. Well, yes, I could have (long story!). Basically, when we got divorced we did it ourselves (no lawyers) and one of the forms asked if anyone would be changing their name. I said yes, and put my new/maiden name in the form. Fast forward about 1 year later (I hadn't done anything to change my name back yet). I went to refinance on my house, and signed all the paperwork as my married name (Thompson) since that's what I was living as, but since I had been divorced since I bought the house I had to show my divorce decree. The day after I refinanced, the woman called me back and said I had to resign everything as Herrick (new/maiden name). I explained that I had never bothered to actually change my name back. She then told me that I had already legally changed my name by just putting it in that form. I was like "what?!" So after that (and veryifying with an attorney about what the heck my legal name was!) I began the slow process of changing everything back to my maiden name. Because I travel every week, I had to be careful of all my flights I had, what my ID said, etc. - and so it was easier just to not do anything. But when I started my new job in Oct I had them hire me with my maiden name, and got a credit card in that name, etc. Now, about half of my life is in my old married name, and the other half in my maiden name. Oh, and since Paul and I are moving back to MN I wanted to wait to get my drivers license updated, I never got my IL drivers license). And that's about when Paul proposed. lol So I suppose I could wait to change everything to Paul's last name ... but some things would be going from one name, and some the other. And my legal name is my maiden name. See - long, boring story. Funny, eh!? It's actually a running joke about how I have no idea what my name is anymore. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Anyway ... that's my story!
  10. I am in the process of changing my name back to my maiden name (I was married before), even though I was divorced in 2003, just so that I can change it again after I get married! What a mess.
  11. I saw some of these in a magazine and thought I'd post them. They're not the cheapest totes, but are pretty cute, and can be personalized. The Exclusively Weddings site also has other bag ideas (flower girl bags), cute flip-flops and other gifts. Shop Intuition: DEESH Personalized Boy Meets Girl® Tote Bag Exclusively Weddings: Honeymoon Beach Tote For Two Bridal Accessory Ultimate Personalized Beach Bag for Bridesmaids Reversible Just Married Tote EDITED: I just came across these, and they're cute - but a little spendy! 12. Tammy - could I see what you did as well? This is something I am thinking I may be able to do, but I just don't know that I have the creativity in me to pull it off. I am just afraid it would come out soooo boring. I may pay to have it done ... anyone interested? heehee
  13. For those of you that have already researched photographers, what is your opinion on this one? index.jpg My preference is to have a photojournalistic style photographer, one that catches the candid shots that are often more meaningful. I want to be able to assemble a scrapbook or something that tells the whole story, not just the formal photos - although those are important as well. I've emailed Leticia, but haven't heard back yet - but her prices don't seem that bad. Has anyone heard of her, or worked with her? I really like what I see on her website! If it helps - I know Paul and I .. we will need a photographer that will coach us. Neither of us are too comfortable in front of a camera. But yet I want great photos of us, both formal and candid. I also want great shots of the entire evening.
  14. I vote for aqua - but blue is my favorite color, and one of my wedding colors so I am a tad partial to it!
  15. Welcome! You've definitely come to the right place.

    Newbie!!

Welcome! I am not familiar with the location either, but am sure you will get some feedback here!
  17. Janet has been busy! So are we doing one "larger" gift, or several smaller ones all leading up to the holidays?
  18. Those are beautiful pictures! That looks like a perfect location

    hello

Welcome, JPKW - you're right, you will find a lot of helpful information on this site. Have you picked a location or date yet?
  20. Have you thought about renting a villa, or villas? I don't know much about them, but I saw one brides website and that's what she had done in puerto Vallarta. She basically rented out the entire place - so it was very private. They had the wedding there, and I believe there was a chef that just cooked dinner. It looked like a great idea, and I even considered doing something like this. I will see if I can find the link ... Edited: just found her website - it's very thorough! Monika and Eric: Welcome to our Website for our Puerto Vallarta Wedding

    hola

Welcome, and congratulations! Have you decided on a location, or what type of wedding you're looking for? There are resorts and AIs (like Dreams) or beach weddings that aren't affiliated with a resort or hotel, or villas. I have booked my wedding at Las Caletas (Puerto Vallarta), but I am just starting to hunt for the perfect resort for us, and for my guests. Let us know how we can help!
  22. I was wondering the same thing - for couples, I am sure the girls will be the one to use them. But for the single guys - not so sure. I don't want them to feel left out - but I really don't think they'd use them. Maybe a backpack or something more masculine? Or maybe I will just give them the contents and some cute disposible container or something.

  24. Congratulations!!!!! That's awesome - good work!
