That's exactly what I did - I just ordered Save the Date magnets, and had our website put on them, as well as the date and Puerto Vallarta, just so they know it's in Mexico! I'll be sending them out as soon as I get them - I am getting married in early June as well. I figured we may as well get them out a.s.a.p. since we know the date and location. The rest of the details we'll just keep adding to the website. I hope that people just continue to look at the website as they have questions, but judging from everyone's experience, it doesn't happen quite that easy!

I agree - and I'd be in tears as well. I do think Cain needs to get involved now, he needs to make his mother understand he can't treat you, his future wife, this way, and especially not in your home. Is she insecure and afraid you're going to take Cain away or something? I know some MILs get like that. Maybe Cain can make her understand that you are important to him, but so is she. There's room for both ladies in his life! And honestly, if she doesn't change at all, maybe he needs to talk to her about alternate living arrangements. I guess it is only 2 more mos. - but still, it's not fair to you.

Just thought I'd check if anyone that has recently joined the forum has heard of or used this photographer before. I hesitate to use someone without any referrals - but I am also thinking I need to book a photog SOON! Thanks!

Ok, wow. I really think Cain needs to talk to her - he needs to make her understand this is your house, and you can't be treated like this. Whether you should be there as well, I am not sure, maybe not. But it is so unfair of her to treat you like this, especially in your own home!

If that doesn't work - get her arrested for opening your mail, it IS a federal offense! Ha!

Oh wow Tammy - I really feel for you! I think it would be hard to live with my FMIL regardless - let alone with her pulling crap like that. Maybe you should open some of her mail - see how she likes that!? Ok, maybe stooping to her level isn't the right answer ... When is the move-out date? You should put a count down in your siggy ... give you something to look forward to!

I am getting married in Puerto Vallarta, and am in the middle of searching for a specific resort myself. I'd suggest doing a little research on the different areas of Mexico (Puerto Vallarta, Cabo, Riviera Maya, etc.) to see what makes them all different. Once you find one that suites you, then see what hotels/resorts are in that area. Are you looking for a large resort wedding on a beach or indoors? A private beach wedding? A cruise wedding? Not to make your head spin - but there are so many options!

Ok, that would make for GREAT pictures! lol

Welcome, Tanya! I noticed your wedding date says June 9, 2006 - I am assuming you mean 2007! You're getting married the day after me ... but I am getting married in Puerto Vallarta. How has all of the planning going?

I was struggling to get a good picture of where everything was in PV - in Puerto Vallarta, Nuevo Vallarta, Marina Vallarta, etc. Here is a map that shows where each area is - and some of the hotels/resorts in that area. Hope it helps! I know this doesn't show all of the resorts, since I don't see Dreams on there. Does anyone know exactly where it is - I thought it was on the southern tip (FYI - North is to the right on this map) i edited it to add map.

Welcome! As for colors - we're all over the board. There are blue/green combinations (with a fuscia accent, like me!), simple neutral colors, and a red/aqua combo - which looks fabulous! There is a whole thread on what some of the girls have done - let us know if you need help finding it. Since your sash is blue, are you planning on incorporating that into your wedding colors? Can't wait to see pictures of your dress - I found myself really liking some of the Casablanca dresses when looking through catalogs ...

I was all ready to start, then I got a cold for like a week! That really put a damper on any exercise. But this week ... I promise! Now that soccer is out, I am not doing any physical activity. NOT good.

Welcome! You could have one be your "personal attendant." I've learned that not everywhere in the country has this role in a wedding (I get strange looks when I mention it!) - but in MN typically the bride has 1 or 2 personal attendant. Their role is to help the bride out what whatever she needs; makeup, hair, making sure she's fed, carrying her makeup and other stuff she may need, carrying a "emergency" kit (bobby pins, safety pins, nail polish, etc.). Just an idea!

Ummmm ... now I feel like such a lazy slob! Soap and water ... I am awful. And I don't wear any makeup - I would have no idea how to put it on! My friends all tease me. But I will have to find someone on teh wedding day - I don't want my pics to be washed out. Oh - I do love pedicures though - that's my guilty pleasure. Playing soccer does bad things to my feet - so I like to keep them in tip-top shape!
