  1. It could be a version thing maybe - it told me it was an invalid file or something.
  2. I am so happy to hear other people that like her - some people on The Knot weren't nearly as agreeable. I do want to hear honest opinions, and will go what what I feel is right - but they were a little negative a feel. Sorry to any Knotties reading this - nothing personal! I guess when you really like something, you just want to hear opinions that agree with yours! I also loved Sol Tamargo (not available for my date) and Juan Carlos Tapia. Juan wasn't available for me either, but he recomended Elizabeth to me! So I feel pretty good about my decision. Elizabeth did send me a couple links to other weddings - here they are from an email ... First, a "honeymoon session" on the beach with a local couple (they were married in a church and had a hotel reception, we did this the week after): www.elizabethmedina.com/aurora_jc_playa Here is a link to a gallery from a fun destination wedding: tia_shawn And to a couple of the albums I have designed with my photographs: album_g_l Albúm Elizabeth Medina Photography
  3. I agree - I always max out my 401k, that was a lesson my dad taught me. And I contribute monthly to both ING and my mututal fund accounts. And like you said, I have it automatically taken out - when it's not there, you don't notice it! I also have a checking account (in addition to my "regular" checking") that earns a little higher interest, like 2-3% - not bad for checking!
  4. Funny - Paul and I finally had the chance to sit down and look at all of the photographer options we had. Then we ranked them (all that were available on our date), without looking at price. We had 2 that were at the top - one we haven't heard back from, and Elizabeth! So - I am going to book her today! I am so excited to have finally made this decision! Bella - I haven't found anyone that has used her in the past. There is a Knottie I believe getting married early 2007 that is using her though, and said she's been great.
  5. I say we all try to do this (or something similar) and report back a few times a week! Then we'll at least feel the pressure to be able to say "I did my workout!"
  6. I'll let you know how it goes! Do you need a lot of equipment?
  7. Awww - thanks! If you want to know the truth, FI was looking over my shoulder one day when I was on the forum and said "all the other girls have pictures of themselves and their fiance" - so I had to change mine back! Isn't that cute! We have absolutely no pictures of us together - we both shy away from cameras, and never carry them!
  8. The only negative reviews it got were about how fast she went, and how unsafe it was because of her poor posture, etc. So hopefully I can work my way past all that and get a good workout! Does it really seem like you got a good workout all over?
  9. I just may purchase it - and make myself do it at home in the mornings.
  10. By any chance is it "Shape Your Body Workout" - I can't find the Total Body one ... I think I may purchase as well, I can do this at home! FI may laugh at me, but he won't be laughing once I look like a smokin' babe! (laughing to myself right now!)
  11. oh - i should tell you about Anna Kuperberg, her packages start at $5900, and not even sure if that includes travel costs! but man, would i love to use her, and she's available on my date! Anna Kuperberg Photography
  12. I know - and NOT available on my date! I'm almost glad she isn't available, I'd probably have paid for her!
  13. Just got this from Sol Tamargo, the wedding of Susan and Aaron at Bahia Principe Akumal in Riviera Maya ... check it out if you're interested ... boy is Sol an amazing photographer! Sol Tamargo Photography Wedding Photojournalism
  14. I have to agree with Christa (and Natasha). As much as we joke about all the things you can do, this could really be a problem in the future. Christa makes a good point, she will be living so close by that this could really be an issue in the future. I'd hate to see her make your entire life miserable, just because of how she is - so the sooner you can get some rules and boundaries in place, the better. I know it can't be easy, for you or for Cain, but I do think the sooner you two deal with this the better it will be, for everyone!
  15. Welcome, Clare - and congratulations! I am sure you will get help from this forum. I love all these super, organized brides planning their weddings in advance! I'm jealous of all the time you'll have to get everyone you want!
  16. Ok, I strongly promote the "don't stoop to her level" theory - but THAT would be hilarious! And you know, she couldn't complain, she would have no right to complain after being busted so hard!
  17. I am not. My ceremony is at a secluded beach area that isn't affiliated with any hotel/resort. So I have to do that part seperately - which is nice to have that freedom, but it also would have been nice to just stay at the same place you're getting married at!

Sorry - probably not funny to you, but it made me chuckle anyway! It's like the school kid's excuse "the dog ate my homework." I love it!

Welcome! I am sure you will get plenty of advice here - there are many helpful brides. Have you set a date yet? Please just let us know what questions you have, and there will be someone willing to help!
  20. You should have put a note at the bottom of the box saying "please leave our mail alone" or something - so she knows you know she was in there! Or set her up again and do it. Ok, maybe that's not very mature - but it would let her know you're not stupid, and you know what she's up to. What is that woman's issue!?
  21. I prefer to work out in the mornings if I can. NOT because I am a morning person, I am sooo not!, but because 1) it gets it over with, 2) i just know i won't feel like working out after work - and i never like to turn down a happy hour!, 3) it's easier for me with being diabetic, i don't have to worry about what i've eaten and what insulin i've taken that day now if I could just get my butt out of bed!
  22. I was thinking the same thing ... it just seems so much easier! Then I'd already know where I was staying. Tough choice!
  23. That's not a good sign, but seems to happen somewhat frequently. If you're still really interested in this hotel, I wouldn't give up just yet. Want me to try to get more information?
  24. Nice, how convenient! Too bad I just got a new car a couple years ago - I should have done something like this! I hate the BMW dealership I went to in MN, and I haven't been that impressed with the one in Chicago either. Oh well, but I will keep this in mind when I am ready for a new one!
