  1. I LOVE that story! He pulled off a perfect engagement, and managed to surprise you at the same time! I love that you got engaged privately, and then got to celebrate right away with everyone!
  2. Since my parents are divorced, and in 2 different states, I am always running here or there. And Paul's family is very, VERY close, and they're all so close geographically - so the thought of him spending the holidays away from them is not an option this year. Once we're married, we'll have to compromise a little, it will be tough for him!
  3. I just hope I can find the time to make SOMETHING! Even though Paul and I have been together for 3+ years, this is the first Christmas we'll be spending together.
  4. Tammy - as hard as that must have been, you will always be able to look back and be proud of how YOU acted! This woman will be in your life for a loooooong time!

  10. Love, love, LOVE these! Almost makes me wish I had bridesmaids!
  11. Welcome! It looks like you're doing pretty well on the planning - maybe you can help some of us! I've heard great things about the DR - I can't wait to hear more about your wedding!
  12. Welcome! You sound like you might be a bit flexible with teh date and location. If you're flexible with most things, I think you can definitely pull this off in a few months. Tammy (host) gave some great suggestions for locations, though I am not sure they're all adult-only, but I know they're out there! Check these out (in Puerto Vallarta): Golden Crown Paradise Resort Puerto Vallarta Villa Premiere Hotel & Spa

  14. Is this your photographer? Sergio Photographer If so, I haven't heard anything about him, but Sol Tamargo referred him to me when I was looking - and I know she's great!

  20. I can't recall the price, thought I am sure it wasn't very much - but I saw something like this at Joann Fabrics this weekend too.
  21. I am getting married in Puerto Vallarta, so I don't have any local Cabo photogs, but I am using Leigh Miller, out of CA (Leigh Miller Photography) - she's amazing, and so nice to work with. I almost used Elizabeth Medina out of the RM area I think, but she was booked (http://www.elizabethmedinaphotography.com/). Most of these aren't local to Cabo, but will travel, typically for an additional cost: MandyMarie Photo: Mandy Marie Photographer Anna Kuperberg: Anna Kuperberg Photography Fairy Tale Wedding (Gaia Mikosza): fairy-tale-wedding.com Leticia Alarcon: index.jpg Art of Light Photography: The Art Of Light Photography Photography by Bobbi (Bobbi M Sheridan): Photography by Bobbi Sol Tamargo: Sol Tamargo Photography Wedding Photojournalism
  22. I know you can do a travel registry (see Tammy's post above). My photog. also said she has one, so that people can contribute to the cost of the photographs (Leigh Miller). I don't have the links on hand, but I know there are also registries where people can give $$ towards the down payment to a house. Let me look for some ... ok, didn't find any right away, but here's an artile - Honeymooners Become Home Owners - I think a lot of banks will set this up for you. Paul and I aren't registering since people will spend so much to be at our wedding. And I've been married before, and we just both have a lot of crap!
  23. Welcome! Glad to see we've got another Jamaica bride on here! How big is your wedding? Have you done most of the planning already?
  24. Those are great pictures! Paul and I just don't have any pictures of us together, I know we will after the wedding, but it's fun to have some good ones like these that aren't in wedding attire!
