  1. Welcome! I agree with all the other ladies, and I mentioned this on another post - we may not be able to help too much with the actual location, but it sounds like you know the area pretty well. How big will your wedding be, do you expect a lot of people to come from NY? Let us know if there's anything we can help you with at all! And share any pictures you have ... your dress, bridesmaids dresses, ring, etc.

Hi! I've never been, but this is one of my FI's favorite places he's ever been to - I hope to visit someday. Your plan sounds incredible! Even if there's no one here that can help with actual location yet, we can help with other DW questions you may have. I've love to hear more about your plans! 3. I really don't plan on having one, nor do I want to. The only way I'd consider it is if no one can come to our wedding. Right now, I think all of the "important" people will be able to make it, so hopefully an AHR isn't necessary.
  4. biting my nails - but crossing my fingers. (it's actually rather difficult)
  5. Welcome to the site! Let us know what you need help with, and we'll do our best! That's great that you get to do site visits, then you know you'll love the property.
  6. I'm not familiar with it, but be sure to let us know how it goes if you end up using them. It would be a great alternative!

That's one way to make the trip worthwhile!
  8. I just asked my WC for quotes on hair and makeup. I expect that I will probably have to pay a little more since my ceremony involves taking a 45-60 minute boat trip to the site, and the stylist would have to make the trip with us. I also want a trial, since I think I will be picky with my hair, but also because I don't wear makeup and know that it will take some work to get it right (though I may back out and just have a friend do makeup). But I want my hair done by someone who knows what they're doing, for sure! So anyway - how much did you girls spend for a trial, and day-of hair do? And what else did it include, if anything (makeup, accessories, etc.)?
  9. Welcome, Sheliza. You'll have to post your engagement story, Paris is so romantic! You're definitely in the right place to get some help with planning a DW at Dreams Cabo, so many brides on here are getting married there, or already have. How big do you think your group will be?
  10. they don't actually - but I can post, I think I got the recipe from Crate & Barrel! I will post when I get back home in a week or so (at mom's in AZ this weekend, then off to NC for work next week). They're fabulous !

  12. Honestly, I am still going through the process of changing my name back from my first marriage. I have about half my stuff as my maiden name and the other half as my old married name. It's really rather easy to live with whatever name you want! I just started a new job and told them to hire me as my maiden name, even though my drivers lisence still says the old married name. Like I said - easier than you think.
  13. we don't have the option to make our actual ceremony legal. we can legally get married in PV earlier that day - but the actual ceremony can't be legal. we're thinking of just not telling! then since we're going to Hawaii for the honeymoon the day after the ceremony, we'll probably just do it legally there, and have a romantic dinner! shhhhhhhh...!

  16. woohoo! this was the first time i played! i like this game!
  17. Welcome, Carolann - glad you found this site! Even if you don't have a ton of questions about your wedding planning, it's still fun to share with everyone else on here, and just get some new ideas. I'd say most of my wedding is planned, or will be planned, based on this I've found on this site! Do you have your dress yet? That's always fun to share, I love seeing everyone's dresses. Where is your wedding in Riviera Maya?

  19. Wow, Janet - those are amazing! So cute - and I love that you made them, even better! Have you ever thought of making a living out of this stuff!? (I am only partially kidding) Every time I think I have a creative streak, I see something one of you girls have done (yes, all you MS wanna-bes!) - and I just realize I will be purchasing!
  20. I just saw that Leigh Miller has posted a wedding she shot in Riviera Maya - though I don't know exactly where. Leigh Miller Photography
  21. I totally forgot about the lottery, and I've never bought tickets. Maybe I should try!
  22. Welcome to the site! Sounds like you already got in contact with other Dreams - Cancun brides, great! I am getting married in Puerto Vallarta, and am staying at Dreams PV, and there are a ton of Dreams Cabo brides here. When do you think you'll be getting married? Let us know if we can help you in any way!
  23. Awesome tips, Natasha! You married gals have been so helpful to us!
  24. Sugar cookies would be easy! I have a killer Pumpkin Bar recipe - but it's one of the messiest things I've ever made! Worth it though!
