Wow, great info., Natalie - especially since you and I are on about the same timeline. Well, you're way ahead of me - I haven't sent my STDs out yet, but they're going out this week! I'd like to do the same thing - get them to book, and RSVP so we get a much better idea of who is coming. And I am all paranoid about losing $ or rooms because people take too long too book. I guess we'll just have to pester people! Thanks for the info. - very helpful!

Kate - they're beautiful! I kind of wish I would have done that earlier, and planning to use it throughout - just to keep a common theme. It looks great, and I love the colors.

So a friend of my mom's is offering her her time share to stay at for the wedding. While I am leaning towards just having her stay at Dreams with us and just pay for it (I was planning on this anyway) - I wanted to at least check it out. This is all she really knows about the place so far ... "Betty's place is Plaza Las Glorias. I believe they have 4 different hotels there but I have no clue about location. From Betty’s brochure, they are Continental Plaza Vallarta, Villas Plaza Vallarta, Plaza Las Glorias Puerta Vallarta and Sierra Nuevo Vallarta" Is anyone familiar with this place?

Since I am staying at Dreams PV - I may just copy/paste that right in! That's what I was trying to avoid - the STDs being cluttered. I just have this fear that no one will look at the website!

I know I've read some suggestions somewhere on here, but I couldn't find them - so I thought I'd start a separate thread. I want to encourage people to book their travel a.s.a.p. - what is the best way to word that on the STD without coming across as rude? What have some of you ladies done?

I got ... a very cool picture frame (now I will have to find a good picture of Paul & I) tall, wine-glass like candle holders - they're awesome! a handful of candles I can't wait to get them all setup! Hi Marisa - I just realized I never read this post. I haven't talked to Nicole about table decor yet at all. I am thinking somewhat simple, but I don't want plain. I love the idea of the bamboo placemats. What do they look like, do you have any pictures? Any chance you want to sell them when you're done with them!? I don't think I really want yellow placemats - I guess white would do, but I'd rather not. I will ask Nicole. When you get pictures of what you're tables will look like - pass them along! How's the planning coming - your date isn't that far away!

I did the same thing, paid my $50, and told her what I was looking for - and I wasn't sure of location yet. She kept just sending me package prices for one location, I think Cabo, and wouldn't explore other options. We even had a little talk, and she said that she misunderstood. That didn't help. Also, they don't do mainland US (other than Vegas), and we wanted to look at some options in S. Cal, so she couldn't help there either. Not sure I ever got my $50 back though ... hmmmmm...

did you use destinationwedding.com? i tried that, and didn't have good luck either. i am using a travel agent mainly for my guests, i want them to be able to contact her and be able to ask her all the travel questions so they don't ask me! i am actually using tammy (host), who is the host of this site - she's been great and she does specialize in destination weddings, and honeymoons too i think. (thanks, tammy!) i travel so much for work - i actually hate planning travel. anyway - you're definitely on track, even ahead of the game! i haven't sent out my STDs yet, and i am getting married in June. and i am still working in finalizing the room block at the hotel.

she's been taking her moderator duties to heart! she's found so many great Napa sites - I'm sure she'll pass us all up in points soon.
