  1. Wow - that sounds great! I'd love to hear more about your wedding, and see any pictures you have.
  2. So Nicole, the WC for us Las Caletas brides, sent out an email to some of the other girls getting married there - she wanted to let them know about this forum. I'm hoping to see some more Las Caletas brides on here soon!
  3. I am actually soooo excited for you! It sounds like you have everything under control - what a great feeling! Can't wait to hear about it all when you get back! Oh, and of course see the pictures ... !
  4. NICE, Sarah! I love seeing progress - that's what motivates me, and you've made serious progress!
  5. Oh, by the way, a handful of us in the Chicago area are getting together downtown - you're more than welcome to join us - just let us know if you're interested!
  6. I LOVE these - great job. I love the colors, and the winery/Napa theme. LOVE it!

I tried on dresses that cost way more than I planned on spending. Oops. I bought mine anyway as well. But I have to say - that dress looks gorgeous!
  8. Welcome, Angela - your wedding day isn't that far away! Let us know if you need any help, or just share your plans and pictures with us.
  9. So who is it that I am blaming for what just happened to me? Sarah, I think. I just did Cindy Crawford's workout video for the first time ... yikes am I out of shape! I did it w/5 lb. weights, and even used my 8 lb. weights for some of the moves. I am going to be sore tomorrow! Oh, and how cute - FI did it with me, but he used a little heavier weights!
  10. Jen - good luck in your search, it sounds like Leigh gave you some great suggestions! Oh, and if it works out, she has mentioned to me she wanted to go to the Bahamas too - take her up on it! lol I wish I had some other suggestions for you. I can say I stayed in St. Kitts, a lesser known Caribbean island. It was absolutley beautiful - and not quite as built up as the other, more popular islands. If Paul hadn't insisted on honeymooning in Hawaii, we probably would have been married there (it's the wrong way!). We stayed at the Marriott. We actually considered buying property there - it's a great investment for anyone looking ... (sorry, off track ... ).
  11. c'mon along!! i assumed it wouldn't be too much of a hassle, and this is really paul's thing to plan - but i wanted to see if there were any obvious "gotchas" you ladies knew of. i'll probably be asking for Hawaii tips eventually ... or you may see paul on this site (yea right!)
  12. So Paul and I are having our wedding ceremony and reception in Mexico - but we're going to make it legal on our honeymoon in Hawaii, not sure what island though (this is a secret to most people - so shhhhhhh! - lol). We were just wondering if there's anything special we need to do to get legally married in Hawaii; I can't imagine it's much different than any other state - but we wanted to check. This thread >> http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t858 makes it sound pretty easy. I was divorced in 2003 (that's when it was legal anyway), so not sure what complications that adds - doesn't seem like much. We're thinking of having a little ceremony and then a romantic dinner, just the two of us. I am assuming that where ever we stay in Hawaii will help us coordinate that, even though we're not having a big celebration or dinner - anyone know if that will be a problem? I just picture a WC not wanting to waste their time with just the 2 of us! Or maybe we have to do it at a courthouse? We'd just like to walk in, get married, and walk away Mr. & Mrs.! We'd also like to have a photographer capture our secret ceremony - but I can't imagine needing one for more than about 30-60 minutes. Just our ceremony, and then some shots of us as a couple, something like that. Any tips for us? Share ideas, "gotchas," or anything else you think I should consider!
  13. I know! I suppose it's too late now, but I think Nicole told me there were other color placemats too. Let me check ... actually scratch that, I think she was talking about table runners. Nicole told me she'd send me pics of the placemats - the only problem is I may go over 50 people, and I won't know for a little bit. I will make up my mind soon - I promise!
  14. Welcome! I don't know anything about that specific location, but someone here is likely to! Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with ... and CONGRATULATIONS!
  15. I have to admit - it is a great feeling after you find, and buy the right dress!
  16. I agree - on what everyone said! I got something totally different that I thought I would at first. And I also spent a lot more than I thought I would. And I also thought about the dress WAY more than I thought I would - I really thought I'd just find a simple bridesmaid dress, get it in while, and be done with it. That is so not what happened. You have a little time, so just shop around some more to see what really catches your eye. And you will know when THE dress comes along! But to answer your question in one word ... YES!
  17. I voted for Mesh - but it was between that and the babydoll. I like that they're both a little "lighter" looking, if that makes any sense!
  18. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Fabulous work (again!), Juan - you capture the couple in such a way you can't help but feel like you're there, and can feel the emotions between them! On a side note, that was wierd seeing "Ann & Paul's Wedding" - my name is Ann, and my fiance's name is Paul. Odd.
  19. I like them all actually - good work! But I like the circle one at the top, and the lower right one.
  20. It is - it really does get me excited for my wedding day! And hopefully it helps other potential Las Caletas brides too. FYI - PVAdventure_weddings is Nicole, the WC for PV Adventure Weddings, they are the ones that manage the weddings at Las Caletas. Glad to see you made it, Nicole!
