  1. thanks! in the end i probably would have just gone w/a stock photo or design - but now i know how to use vistaprint!
  2. I can't remember if I posted mine or not - I had them done with Vistaprint on their large magnets. STD (15).pdf

I wasn't going to make them a bag? Or should I? I had the same question, since Paul does have some bachelor friends. I was thinking of doing something like this instead ... shoulder back pack, or maybe just not doing a bag at all and just giving the items to them in some other kind of bag (disposable).
  4. I am just using the WC (Nicole) that works at Las Caletas. She's been great so far, so I haven't needed to hire anyone else.
  5. So if I take the stairs every day up to the 3rd floor - does that count for anything? (begging for work out "points" now)

Funny - we JUST ordered lunch (Chinese) and I got brown rice. I try to do those things too - be better when it's just easier - like use skim milk in my Starbucks (i can't taste the diff anyway), and wheat bread when I can (I actually prefer it) - stuff like that.
  8. Welcome! You have come to the right place for help - that's for sure! Jackie especially will be A LOT of help, but we're all her for you ... let us know what you need! Ask away!
  9. I've heard about Turbo Jam too - please let me know what you find out or what it's all about - I am not against spending the $$ for it if it's good! I've taken kick boxing to Tae Bo classes before, and love them (I call them punching class!) - but I just am not in one city long enough to join a gym (grumble grumble, poor me). If I could do it at home, or take the tape with me - then I could do that easier. About the sit-ups - that makes total sense, and I guess I knew that about having to lose the fat first to show the muscle. That's just something entirely different - I am a sucker for a good meal! I can't give up the "good" stuff, I'll just try to eat less of it!
  10. So true, tammy - I have a 4 pack as well, or when I am in shape I do - there's a good start to one anyway! But that pouch I can't seem to get rid of. Ok, I haven't been trying that hard, but I will ... ! I totally agree, I get sooo bored as well - that's why I can't do those stationary machines (tread mill, elliptical, etc.) - I'd rather do an aerobics class, play soccer, etc. But that's hard to do all the time! Though soccer season (indoor) does start this weekend - YAY!
  11. I worked out to Cindy this morning. Wow, Sarah, you weren't kidding - my abs are still hurting - I am scared for how they will feel tomorrow. And I did it with 8lb weights ... maybe not a smart idea! During the ab workouts, I always feel it in my "upper" abs, right below the ribcage. But that's not my trouble area ... I want to target that pouch - whether or not you have one, you all know what I am talking about! Any ideas, ladies - does anyone know of a good sit-up to target that area?
  12. ok, really, nothing. you can look to see if you've won - or hopefully someone will post it. you'll probably get a PM from Tammy if you've won, but if you don't - that probably mean Sarah won. again!
  13. You don't know what you're asking for ... I have LOTS of questions, and I always love to hear other people's ideas. I am holding my WD at Dreams that Thurs before my wedding - I just didn't want to deal with organizing an off site dinner - and since it's AI, I may as well take advantage of that! If my whole group would have been in PV the whole week, I may have done something like that - but I know them, and most will just want to stay at the resort - especially since we're off site the night after. That's good to know about the 30 day notice - I had meant to ask Nicole about that. Ummm - you're only getting married a few days before me, and you're SOOOO far ahead of me! {starting to panic} We have 2-3 people booked so far, haven't even booked out own travel, and have NO idea how many people are coming! {starting to panic more} It sounds like you have another WC (Janet) - would you recomend that? I was just using Nicole. You're at Dreams AND getting married right before me? We should SO meet up, and maybe even share some things to save $$. Of course, I don't have anything to share yet - but I should! If I shipped things down early, you could always use them too - I am thinking things like candles, decorations, etc. I am going to post a message on the Las Caletas thread so you can see more info. that we've posted - and post your own too! You sound pretty organized - I'd love to hear what you're doing for your music, table decor, etc.
  14. that's too bad tammy - but glad everyone's ok. i hear ya - the PIA is worse than the $$ damages! that's the last thing you want to do in your free time, or what little of it there is!
  15. Well now that Sarah is back, I seem to be losing as well ... can we ban her?
  16. Welcome, Renee - glad to have ya! Don't worry about being all over the place - I was getting married in multiple countries AND dates before landing on my final decision. You can definitely pull this off by the summer if you're willing to be flexible! Just let us know what is important to you, what you're budget is, and we'll try our best to help!
  17. Welcome, Claudia! Marisa (marfa75) and Ali are both getting married at Las Caletas in January, and I am getting married in June. There are now a bunch of Las Caletas brides on here - so we should all be able to help eachother. I don't have any events planned other than my welcome dinner the night before the wedding - many of my guests are coming in to PV the Wed. or Thurs before our Fri. wedding, so I really couldn't plan much. We'll see how many will be there the entire week before, like we will, and then see if anyone is interested in a group thing. I know that Vallarta Adventures offers 10% off of their excursions if you like that kind of thing - snorkling, scuba, dolphin stuff, etc. - I may do something like that one day. Your website looks great - it looks like you already have some cool things lined up for guests. I'd love to see some pictures of your ideas so far (I plan on doing a little "borrowing" as well!), since I haven't done much of that. And any other pictures you'd like to share - we're photo addicts here!
  18. SHE'S BAAAAACCCKKKKK ... AQHARIDER (Sarah) won the daily lottery yesterday AND today!

  21. Oooohhh - this would be a great option for you, Christine!
  22. Ok, here are some to try ... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1166 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t696 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1217
  23. I am not going to be much more helpful. But I know I read one review and loved the idea as well - my FI and friends love the idea too. But the review said that it was kind of a waste of money just because people were more into dancing and the music (or something). It was one of those items that they said they couldn't have done without - but it wasn't that anything bad happened. I'd hunt the reviews and search for "cigar" - I am still thinking of doing this though, I think it would be fun, but it depends on cost. I will see if I can find the post ...

    Hi

Hi Amy - welcome! Where are you getting married in Cabo? There are so many Cabo brides here that will help you with your planning - you've come to the right place! We can all help suggest some photographers, depending on if you want a local one, what your budget is, etc. - a lot of us are flying in a photographer from the US or somewhere else. There is actually a photographer on this board who is having a contest to shoot a free wedding in 2007 - here's more info. if you're interested. ... ok, I just noticed he already posted! Leigh Miller (my photographer!) is also on this forum and is great! Anyway - let us know how we can help!
