  1. Well, a belated congrats on the engagement - and congrats on setting the YEAR! lol You'll have to let us know what date you decide on. Oh, and where does someone who LIVES in Mexico go to get married? If you have a destination wedding, do you come to the states? lol
  2. Welcome, Maureen - congratulations on the engagement! The nice thing about having so much time to plan is that you should be able to get your first choice of about everything! Where are you thinking of getting married, any ideas yet?
  3. ooohhh Glenda - you should do this! what a fun way to do the legal part of the wedding.
  4. I had given Nicole (our WC) the info. about this forum, and she actually joined up too! She isn't on much at all, but she also passed on the info. to some of her brides. And they're slowly joining - it's great to be able to share with eachother, especially since our location is just a little bit different than the resort wedding.
  5. I tried finding one, but I just couldn't! You could always start one I guess - but not sure you'd want to take that on. I am for sure going to keep an eye out for you and refer any CR brides here! Yahoo! Groups : Directory : Weddings
  6. At Las Caletas our reception is on the beach as well - the dinner part is in a terrace right on the beach, but the dance floor, bonfire, etc. will all be set up on the beach. My understanding is that this is fairly common, so hopefully it's not too much extra $$ or effort. Unfortunately Las Caletas just includes it in a package price - so I don't know what the exact cost details are.
  7. Welcome! I am getting married in Las Caletas as well, 10 days before you! We now have 3 June Las Caletas brides on here - how exciting! How is your planning going? Is there anything you need help with? I'd love to hear all about your wedding so far, and let us know how we can help! In the meantime, here are a few of Las Caletas threads to read if you're interested ... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1775 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2216 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1304 Happy planning!
  8. Build it, and they will come ... I definitely was one of the, if not THE, only PV bride for a while - now there are quite a few! Heck, the Las Caletas brides are multiplying like gremlins! I belong to a PV Brides Yahoo Group - not sure if they have one for Costa Rice or Panama, but I posted a link to this website in the "helpful links" area over there. Not sure if that's how anyone found this forum, but it could help.
  9. They also have personalized water - and it doesn't seem like they're that bad of a price either - thanks!
  10. Kristina (SPRKLZ224) won the weekly lottery! (and I won the daily!) Congrats on the big win, Kristina!
  11. no problem! good luck, and let us know how they turn out, i love seeing the creative things people come up with.
  12. Check out Vistaprint - a lot of the girls here, including me, used them. They have great prices - and you can upload your own design (I did this). They also have stock photos you can choose from. Let us know if you need more help ... VistaPrint - Business Cards - Full Color Printing - Digital Printing Company | VistaPrint
  13. you saved the tiramisu's life ... that should make you feel good anyway. ok, maybe i am stretching it a little. dinner: pretzels & raisins and a glass of red wine on the plane. hardly satisfying.
  14. welcome, kelly! i have only been to jamaica once, briefly while on a cruise that passed through. i can't wait to hear more about your wedding planning? is there anything you need help with? any pictures you want to share?
  15. if you do find it - be sure to share! i'd like to have a few options as well - sorry i couldn't find it!
  16. those look great - she really is fast! i just can't decide which ones i like better of mine!
  17. welcome to the forum! you have a lot of options in Mexico, and we have brides getting married in all sorts of places! let us know what you're looking for, and we will help as much as we can. some of the main areas people are getting married in Mexico ... Cabo Riviera Maya Cancun Puerto Vallarta
  18. was this it? i saved it too - i think Karla posted it - Classic Gardenia Bridal Set
  19. Exactly - that's why there are RSVPs ... one of the options is "No!"
  20. The only thing you may want to be careful of is if you have too many options, you're going to get a lot of incomplete sets. Like if you register for a dish set, linens, etc. you may get a few of each set - then you have to buy the rest on your own, or just have an incomplete set. With fewer options, you're more likely to get complete sets. If you're not really registering for that kind of stuff - the why not add more! FYI - I just looked on Sears' site briefly and it looks like you can set up a registry online. And you can put a note in there or something to say that "gift cards are welcome" or "we're hoping to purchase a w/d" or something. I think it's worth trying!
  21. I haven't specifically checked with Dreams PV - but hopefully my photog (Leigh Miller) stays there as well, so it won't be an issue. Maybe I should check now ... or does anyone know for sure about Dreams PV?
  22. lol - I'll take the blame if it helps! I am blaming my coworkers. We were so busy today no one had time to go for lunch ... someone finally said "we're heading to Wendy's" - and I needed to eat! I just had them pick me up a cheeseburger and fries. Naughty naughty.
  23. I SHOULD eat better - I am just so bad at it, especially when I am on the road - which is every week, M-Th. I suppose I could try to keep some good foods in the fridge here at the office ....
  24. lol. Ummm, let's see ... pizza for dinner last night, chinese for lunch, ... I think I had a salad on Tuesday! No rice cakes though, sorry!
  25. I did work out with Cindy again this morning, but then I just inhaled Wendy's for lunch .... hmmmmmm
