  1. oohh - i hadn't seen that one on the right before. from what i can tell it looks like a decent place to have a dinner. i don't think i'll be too picky, it's just a dinner, but i'd like a nice area, and i'd like it to be outside. the pool would be ok too. I just need to hear back from her to know what my options are even! Here are the pics I have ,,, This looks like it might be in your photo too - off to the right.
  2. I am soooo excited! It really makes me wish I had picked an earlier date - FI didn't think we could get everything planned - I know I could have with all of everyone's help here! Anyway ... Leigh's travel costs are included in what I am paying her, so yes, I guess she added them into the package. When I was searching for a photographer some would give me one price and say it included travel fees, some would list it seperately, and some would just give their package price, then say I had to pay for travel, whatever it came out to be (usually around $1000-$1500 I think). Not sure if that helps or not ...
  3. I have the pics I got through Tammy - probably the same ones you got. I am hoping to have my dinner outside, but not on the beach - like a terrace or something. Marilu (I think that's her name) told Tammy there were 2 terraces - but I have yet to see pictures of them. I think I have one pic (I will post now) - and I've love to have it here just based on this pic, but I don't know my options. (now I can't find the picture!) I thought I read somewhere about loud entertainment being held somewhere at Dreams in the evenings - I think I want to avoid that if I can.
  4. No - I haven't! There's a wedding the night of my welcome dinner (the reason I need the pics), and supposedly she is waiting to hear from that bride to see where she wants to be. So I don't know if it's her, or the WC at Dreams that's the hold up. I'm dying to finalize those plans - then I will feel better about this, right now I feel like it's so up in the air. I guess worst case scenario, I have to fo offsite for my dinner, but I really don't want to since we'll be going off site the next nite for my wedding! Maybe Tammy has heard something - not sure?

  6. My WC from Las Caletas did give me some names though, I will see if I can find them - I've posted them on this forum somewhere!
  7. I am flying my photographer in from the US (Leigh Miller); when asking for referrals, I honestly didn't get any that were local to PV so I don't know much about any of them.
  8. Yea - I did nothing this weekend (BAD ANN!). Scratch that - I did play soccer on Sun., but I just don't feel like that's a great workout - better than nothing I suppose. But yes - motivation! Naked motivation!
  9. Yep - here is her contact info. - you can either use this, or just send her a Private Message through this forum, whatever is easier for you. Tammy Wright Wright Travel Agency Wright Travel Agency - we specialize in destination wedding packages [email protected] 888.471.1950
  10. Why don't you two just plan a double wedding and be done with it! lol
  11. Another option is to just have the slideshow playing during a cocktail hour - just put it on repeat and people can watch it as they choose.
  12. Welcome! You can definitely plan your wedding in that amount of time - no worries! Let us know how we can help!
  13. Been there - exactly there! We took 2 of Paul's nieces there to see Charlottoe's web a couple weeks ago. Sorry ... !

Ann it's funny that you mentioned custom glam girl b/c I am totally copying the t-shirt that shows the engagement ring inside the open box that says "Think inside the box". And I am going to specifically give that to my friends that have boyfriends and are dying to get engaged. -Glenda I absolutely LOVE it!
  15. I've heard great things about them, but I am not using a WC outside of what Las Caletas provides. Early on, I did contact Dazzling Details but she wasn't available on my date, so I didn't go very far there. But when she wasn't available - she did refer me to Incredible Weddings and Events.
  16. I do want to do something like this as well, at least for the ladies I'd like to do tank tops. Here is one of the places I have for personalized clothing. CustomizedGirl - Custom T-Shirt Design The men always get left out - but I do have this link saved, but I haven't researched it at all. eBay: 12 POLO GOLF Shirts w/ FREE EMBROIDERED LOGO Wholesale (item 130060867584 end time Dec-25-06 18:32:46 PST)
  17. Well, I tried - if you end up coming to the BD session (I hope you can!), we'll have to play the name game. Paul's whole family still lives in PR (I may be destined to end up there some day!), as do most of his friends family - seems like no one ever leaves there!
  18. I got this from the Yahoo PV Brides Group I belong to - I thought it might be helpful for those that are looking for a wedding coordinator in PV. ------------------------------------------------------------- There are 2 planners I would highly reccomend. One is Kristin from the Dazzling Details. I met with her when I was in PV for my scouting trip, and I really loved her. She is very professional, creative, friendly and has great connections in PV. She is also fluent in Spanish, which made things immensely easier as far as visiting venues and dealing with vendors. From what I recall, the Dazzling Details fee is about $1,900. This includes coordination, staff at the event (Kristin and whomever else is needed), wedding design, suggestions for decor, food, etc. She will coordinate other events (rehearsal dinner, etc.) for an additional charge. This doesn't include things like 1) venue fee; 2) reception costs for dinner and drinks and entertainment, 3) ceremony; etc. I also reccomend Incredible Weddings and Events. They are the planners we are using. We were going to go with Kristin but then changed our wedding date and she was already booked for that date. She reccomended Incredible Weddings and Events, and we met with the 2 women that own it -- Tamara Bradley and Lucie Aubert. They are also very professional, friendly, and have a lot of experience doing weddings in PV. I believe they are a little less expensive than Kristin, but I can't recall the exact amount we are paying them. Here is their website: http://incrediblewe ddingsandevents. com/ We are having a large destination wedding though -- 100-120 people. If I was doing a smaller wedding like yours, I don't know if I'd use an outside coordinator, if the hotel you like has a coordinator you can use. Just because I think there would be a lot less hassle and worry with a smaller number of guests. We're getting married at a villa, so we need to arrange transportation from the wedding hotel to the villa, get an outside caterer, etc. All of those things are too difficult for us to coordinate ourselves. But some girls on the Yahoo group are getting married at hotels in PV and using the hotel's coordinator and have been very happy. Also, the wedding coordinators in PV may charge a smaller fee than the #s I'm talking about, for a smaller number of guests. You might want to ask about that when you contact them. You may not need 100% coordination, which may cut down on the coordinator fee. -------------------------------------------------------------
  19. No worries there - we're all trying to be better before the wedding, and before these pictures are taken! We can support eachother ... since my target date went from June (my wedding) to early Feb., I can't procrastinate anymore. (damn it, I just ate one of those cookies I made yesterday - Craisin & White Choc. Chip Oatmeal Cookies - mmmmmmmm) Paul graduated in 1996 I think - last name Russell. He was the youngest of the Russells, but there are 5 of them. Definitely small world! Oh, as for robbing the cradle - Paul is 4 years younger than me - you're in good company!
  20. We've never met - we just gab a lot over this forum - you're more than welcome to join us! All you need to do is email Leigh (the photographer) and work out the details with her. Then you have to give us some ideas on what you're wearing and all that stuff! lol P.S. My fiance was born and raised in Park Ridge (I am originally from MN) - he went to Main South. I can rattle off a few more things, but wouldn't that be funny if you knew him or his family. And if you do - don't you dare tell them I am getting these pics done! lol (conservative Irish Catholics!)
  21. lol - would you stop! i know what's going to happen, we're going to both get modeling careers out of this - i can just see it now! then the rest of the ladies can say ... "we knew them back when ... " hahahaha
