  2. I am back together with Cindy after this morning - we hadn't seen eachother for about 5 days. She kicked my butt again! I haven't been great with my eating, but at least I am working out. I need to incorporate some cardio in somehow - I might just have to suck it up and use the treadmill at the hotel gym, which is about the size of a shoebox. Sarah - you're kicking ass - good work! Ignore the scale - go by how you feel, and how your close fit. Nice work!
  3. wow - beautiful! everything looks amazing. i love how the red just pops - and it looks great with your darker hair and skin tone.

I know - I can't really do anything yet anyway until I know more about how many are coming. I just really like pictures to give me ideas. Oh, and I was going to suggest maybe doing a combo of the 2 colors as well, those look great!
  5. If you are open to other areas, I am getting married as Las Caletas in PV - it's a private beach/cove area - and it's only accessible by boat so you definitely don't have strangers wandering around - this is what we wanted as well. Their "deluxe" package is roughly $5000, plus a per person fee (I think $40/person, less for kids). This includes the ceremony, dinner, and reception (appetizers, food, drinks, etc.). It is extra for photography and music, etc - but you can spend as much on that as you want really. Here's a link for more information ... Puerto Vallarta Wedding Planner for Mexico Destination Weddings The downside is that you're on your own for lodging since it's not affiliated with any hotel or resort. But that means that you can choose a location that meets your needs and budget. You may have already read up on this, so I could be repeating myself! I forget who I've told about Las Caletas already! Let me know if you'd like more info.
  6. well how am i supposed to steal ideas if no one posts photos!
  7. Oooohh - can you post a picture - that's the color I was thinking of getting!
  8. lol, Margaret - my girlfriend has big feet too - she's always calling herself a "big Norwegian" - and has a hard time finding shoes. If these are too spendy for you (they are quite a bit for flip flop), you can always try buying real cheap, plain ones and getting some "bling" to glue on yourself. If it doesn't work out - then buy these!
  9. I just received a promotional email (see below) offering customized, embroidered polo shirts for $9.95. This doesn't seem like too bad of a price, though I haven't looked around too much! Again, just sharing ... Just $9.95 - Embroidered Company Logo Shirts! ----------------------------------EMAIL---------------------------------- Hello, my name is Fred Meyers. I'm the President and Founder of The Queensboro Shirt Company. In 1982, I graduated from business school and turned a hobby of selling Lacoste-quality custom-embroidered shirts into a full-time job. Believe it or not, my company was the first ever to offer custom-embroidered shirts to small- and medium-sized companies, birthing a billion-dollar industry! We've been hard at it ever since. Today, our order minimum is just 4 items, we don't charge set-up or embroidery fees for standard-sized logos, and an Industry-Unique Unconditional Ten-Year Guarantee backs everything we sell. I'd like to introduce you to a remarkable polo shirt that we recently developed here in Wilmington, NC. I know your time is valuable, so I'll try to keep this as short as possible. Our goal was to design a shirt that could be sold at the lowest possible price, but without sacrificing quality. As the only company in our industry that backs everything we sell with an Unconditional Ten-Year Guarantee, quality is essential to our survival. Our heritage is in yarn. For this special shirt, I chose ringspun, combed, 100% extra-long staple Pima cotton yarn. American-born Pima cotton is an extraordinary fiber. It is softer, silkier, and stronger than regular cotton. To enhance the comfort of this shirt, we use a lightweight jersey knit that lays flat on your skin and drapes well on any body style. For additional softness and size stability, we pre-wash this incredible fabric. With a fully taped neck, a jersey "self-fabric" collar, and a classic two-button placket, this polo has a contemporary look that makes a positive first impression whether you're at work or on the golf course. Since it's much lighter and softer than the average department store polo, it'll provide extra hours of sensational comfort in all environments. Double-needle tailoring ensures that you'll be experiencing that comfort for years to come. We regularly sell these 21st Century polos for $12.50 each. You'll find many stores selling much lower quality shirts, often with designer logos, for two to three times this price. Yes, you read that right. You can easily spend $25 to $40 in the stores and get a lesser quality shirt, perhaps even with someone else's logo on it! Try just four of our shirts, however, and I will sell them to you at an introductory price of just $9.95 each with your custom-embroidered logo. Our volume and "factory direct" Internet-based business model eliminates middlemen and expensive printing costs and warehouse facilities. As a result, we're able to offer you our quality products at prices well below standard retail, as well as those of our competitors. Other custom-embroidered apparel companies require you to order hundreds of shirts to get their best price. Our order minimum is just four items. In addition, we won't charge you a set-up fee or an embroidery fee for your standard-sized logo. Please remember, our Industry-Unique Unconditional Ten-Year Guarantee backs everything we sell. We assume all the risk. You will never lose doing business with my company. We have set up a special web site just for this offer. To see our shirts and learn how to order, please go to Just $9.95 - Embroidered Company Logo Shirts!. Does this all sound too good to be true? You have my personal guarantee that you will be 100% delighted with anything and everything we do for you. I invite you to contact me directly at any time if there is ever anything I can do for you. Thank you for your time. We hope to hear from you soon! Best personal regards, Fred Meyers, President and Founder [email protected] PS. 10. Wow - stunning dress. Congrats on finding the dress! Now on to the shoes, and other such details ...
  11. This is from an email she sent me ... That is because I had until recently been working primarily in my local area (Merida, Yucatan, which is about 4.5 hours from the Riviera Maya). Again, this was back in November.
  12. Awwww, thanks guys! Someone just sent it out on another group I belong to, and I thought it looked great. Of course I had to immediately share with my BDW ladies!
  13. Some are a little more expensive - but there are some really cute shoes on this site, many of the flip flops would be great for a DW! Wedding Tennies,Handbags,Dyeable & Formal Shoes for Brides
  14. I posted this a while ago (back in Nov I think), I am sure her prices and packages have just changed since then, not that she's being deceitful. She was so nice to work with, I just waited too long to book her, then she was already taken! Lucky for me, I found Leigh - but I'd suggest nabbing a photographer you like as soon as you can! The good ones go fast, and they also raise their prices each year typically, or possibly more often if they're too busy.
  15. Oh no - don't make me have doubts! lol Hopefully someday I will have a teenager in the house. He'll find them and be like, "my mom actually used to look like THIS?"
  16. Nice - I will have to do that then. Margaret - you can order and then return to the store if it doesn't work. Not sure about London though - just read that! How cool that you and your sis get to plan your weddings together! WHere is she getting married?
  17. It looks like you can have dinner on the beach too - not sure if that's something you'd want to do.
  18. Welcome to the forum! I love the villa idea - which villa are you staying at? I seriously considered doing this, but I think our group might be too big. If you have any questions - please ask away, there are a lot of helpful ladies on this site (sorry, and a handful of men too!). Happy Planning!
  19. OOooohhh - me likey! I wonder if that one is available ... any idea what it's called? Where are you having your ceremony and reception?
  20. In my opinion, I say invite who you want to invite. If they can't go, that's unfortunate, but it's not your problem. That sounds cold - but it's YOUR wedding, YOUR celebration, YOUR choice. This is one time where it really is all about you two. Now, if all of those relatives really can't go, they can choose the "no" option of the RSVP. Then they can throw the invite out if it upsets that that bad. Sheesh. Tell them you will send them pictures! I don't get how people can think that somehow it's up to you to accomodate them on your wedding day!? Sheesh.
  21. Photos, ladies, I WANT PHOTOS!! (picture me stomping my feet and whining like a child) How am I supposed to design my OOT bags if you don't post photos? lol
  22. Of course I am excited about our wedding - but the nice thing is I am just as excited for the vacation aspect as well! Dang - that's too bad. There are definitely a lot of great options out there though, which is nice. Who was she looking at? Not sure what her budget is - but there are a lot of great photogs you can fly to PV as well!
