    i know - seriously, can i just get married the weekend you're in chicago? (wait a sec., i should ask paul if he'd want to do it legally that weekend! hmmm, maybe not, i do like the hawaii idea.)

    oh lord, my mom will be no help either. i mean, that woman can fix any leaky pipe, run electrical wire anywhere, or repair any broken appliance. but make up? hair? not so much. i still want her around though!

    i had a similar dilema. i could easily pick 1 girl - i have 1 sister. but if it went beyond that, i'd have trouble - how do i pick out of all the friends? and then there's paul's sisters. so we went with no bridal party. part of me regrets it because i don't get to pick out BM dresses and have a party with them. but the other part of me is relieved i don't have to pick out BM dresses and have a party with them!

    Well, I am having the big ol' DW in Mexico, we'll have about 70 people we think. But, that won't be legal (no one will really know that though) - and we're going to legally get married in Hawaii on our honeymoon. So I guess I am kind of having 2 DWs! I think we'll probably just get married somewhere quiet - I am not sure of our options just yet in Hawaii, and then go out to a nice dinner, just the two of us. So maybe you could do something like that - make is special and private. A heck of a lot les stress and planning, that's for sure!

    Couple things, 1) Christine - what photographer did you end up choosing - I can't wait to hear! 2) TammyM - that's so sad. We're not having a MOH or BM - I might still invite my girls in to help me, maybe my mom. I am starting to wish I had a bridal party, because they support you throughout this whole process. But we can do it alone! I know you talked about having your mom come by helping to pay for her - can she help you get ready? What about Cain's ma or another girl at teh wedding?

    I am the last one to be able to help, because i can't make up my own mind! the reasons given for selecting either are exactly what's going through my mind! so i am not here to help, but rather to offer my empathy in your dilema, because i am in the same boat!

    Welcome again! I too am getting married in Las Caletas - so let me know if you have any questions. The two locations you are considering are pretty different so it's tough to compare the two, but I don't think you can go wrong!

    Welcome! I am getting married in Las Caletas as well - glad to have you here! My guests and I are staying at Dreams in PV, and I am not as familiar with Nuevo Vallarta - I will do some checking and see what I can find.

    Agreed - I go to other forums because they do have good info at times. But this forum is just so much more friendly. And so much more welcoming than other places!

    Welcome! You're in good company here - let us know how we can help. I am using Tammy ('host') - she's a travel agent who specializes in destination weddings and honeymoons. She may be overbooked for but perhaps can refer you to someone else?

    eeeww - what a pain. i did Cindy's 10 min. quickie workout this morning. i just couldn't drag myself out of bed. i think i need to remind myself every morning about the upcoming BD session to motivate myself. ahhhh!

    Suuuure - make the decision tougher. I still may go w/#1 because I love the idea of the mariachi band to add a festive feel to the cocktail hour. (sorry - you may have only been addressing this to the already married gals)
