Unfortuntely this didn't include rate information - sorry! Probably because the rates change by season, and change every year.

It's not the needles that scare me (being a diabetic, I deal with them all the time!), it's not liking it after I am done! But i'd work w/the artist to get it jsut right before putting it on me. I'd probably get a temp. one done first and live w/it for a week or so to see how I liked it too.

Not sure why they count a 6 year old the same as a 30 year old - Paul's 7 year old niece doesn't drink that much booze, or eat that much for that matter. lol Seems like they should have a <5 year price (if any), then a 5-12 year price, then an "adult" price or something. Really. Oh well.

What about STD, invitations, or anything else you plan on sending out? Don't have to be expensive, but something to consider. Will you have any additional music? Is there an additional fee for your reception dinner or other private event? Are you having a photographer or videographer? Hair & Makeup? Other random things - table decorations, labels, announcements, postage, additional flowers and other decor, etc.? Just trying to make sure you get a good budget set up front!

I am finally catching up with posts after this weekend, and just got to this one. I wasn't 100% sure I wanted to do this - but I think it's a nice touch, and I like the shell idea - I'll worry about the details later! Count me in for 2 large shells! Because I did read through this fast, these 2 shells are for pouring/joining the sands together, you and your FI each hold one, right?

The Lasso (El lazo) (from Mexican Wedding Traditions - WeddingDetails.com) As part of the ceremony to symbolize unity, a large loop of rosary beads or a lasso (cord) is placed in a figure eight shape around the necks of the couple after they have exchanged their vows. It also is beautiful when made of entwined orange blossoms (which symbolize fertility and happiness). A double rosary lasso may also be given by one set of the parents and may be blessed with holy water three times in honor of the trinity. A special person/couple places the lasso around the shoulders of the bride and groom, groom's shoulder's first. The lasso may also be tied around their wrists. The couple wears the lasso throughout the remainder of the service. (The loop is symbolic of their love which should bind the couple together everyday as they equally share the responsibility of marriage for the rest of their lives.) At the end of the ceremony, the lasso is removed by either the couple which placed the lasso on the couple, or the priest. The lasso is given to the Bride as a momento of her becoming the mistress of the groom's heart and home. Most weddings will use the mariachis at the end of the ceremony as a part of the recessional. The reception is always family oriented and festive. Everyone is presumed to be invited. For the bridal couple's first dance, guests will gather in a heart-shaped ring at the reception around the couple. Salsa, merengue and the flamenco guitar music may add a Latin flare to the reception. Favors could be wedding cookies wrapped in tulle, Spanish fans, note cards of Mexican painters, or pieces of pottery could be given.

This is one of the reasons we're going somewhere else for our honeymoon (Hawaii) and why we chose not to have our wedding in Hawaii - we didn't want people tagging along!

I don't currently, but I am the only girl in my family that doesn't! But Paul and I had talked long ago about getting our wedding date and a Gaelic word for "love" or a Gaelic saying or something once we got married. He's very Irish and I think that's a great thing to have - we also talked about adding any kids names in the future!

Probably, but I don't know your guests - maybe they'll all make it! I just know that about 1/3 of mine won't - and honestly, I hope they don't - I don't want 100 people! Here is what I just got from Nicole - it doesn't answer the exact question, but it is good info. Good morning! The age cut-off for kids is 5 years old and they are $30USD. After 5 is regular price.
