Paul and I stopped in a jewelry store this weekend just so we could look at options for my band (we were killing time). They actually had a lot of great options! I really think I want to get some diamonds in my band, whether that's an eternity band or just part way around, I don't know yet. I think ideally I'd get one where they went about 3/4 the way around. THat way I get my diamonds, I don't think i will have a problem with it always turning and having to line it up, and I can still resize if needed. But I was talking to the jeweler and he said those are tough w/a princess cut since the I'd wand the band tapered at the bottom, and w/a square diamond it's hard to do that. I hadn't thought of that! He said they're hard to find. Of course, I am stubborn and still wnat to look - does anyone have a good resource?

Welcome, Karla! I am going to let all of the DR brides help with the specific locale stuff, but the first thing I'd do is start looking at locations to have your wedding. Are you thinking at a resort, or maybe a non-resort wedding? Do you want to be married at an All-Inclusive resort? Would you like a beach wedding, or perhaps indoors or a gazebo? Let us know what you're looking for, and we'll do what we can to help!

I am currently stuffing Totino's Pizza Rolls in my mouth. Naughty. I have absoluely zero will power. You'd think the boudoir session in just over a week would be motivation enough. Ugh.

Huh, no, I haven't tried contacting him. Right now FI doesn't want a videographer - so not sure we'll be getting one. You could try sending Sol an email asking, or I can, no problem. But I don't know anything about him other than that Sol referred me to him. Let me know if you want me to send Sol an email.

I did a lot of "borrowing" from other people's sites - there was a lot of copying/pasting! My FI is in charge of the site, so he's done most of it, but I just sent him that list of websites to look and and to get ideas from. And since we're not providing other lodging options other than Dreams, and not hosting any outside events, we didn't have to include that much information. Sorry, not sure that helps much!

What is with people!? I understand the budget issues, but I'd be stoked if a friend or family member was married at a great destination and we were invited - what a great excuse for a vacation! Oh yea, Paul's cousin is getting married in Cyprus this Fall, and we're HOPING we're invited!

I totally see the practicality of it (June in Mexico will be HOT!) - but knowing myself, I think I am going to want to stay in my wedding dress all night! I probably won't change, primarily for that reason.

That's a good question, Jill. With Leigh, it actually came up as a result of this forum I think, for me anyway. But I also don't know if I would want my FI to see that listed as an option, I like the idea that he has no idea that people do this, so he will be just that much more surprised when I show him. I guess you could just list that as a service on your website, and if the bride has more questions she can ask. Jonathan, Leigh - how do you handle this?

This is something I will likely have to do as well - share your secrets! All I know how to do is make an image transparent in MS Word - and not sure I have any fancy photo editing tool.
