  2. Oh, the only thing I'd say is instead of saying "Cain and I," as though you wrote it alone (even though we all know you did!), maybe say "Tammy and Cain" or just "We"
  3. Tammy - I think it sounds great as it is. I also think I might steal it!
  4. We thought we'd be doing this, but FI doesn't want to deal with it at all (we're getting legally married in Hawaii on our honeymoom right after we leave Mexico). But I think the requirements differ depending on what city and/or state you're getting married in - and possibly even where (what resort) you get married at. A legal ceremony was not even an option for me at Las Caletas - I would have had to do it in PV before (or after). Given that our actual ceremony wasn't going to be the "real" thing, we just decided not to bother. 5. Welcome! You've definitely come to the right place - this site has helped me remain calm in planning my DW, I probably would have given up w/o it. Let us know how we can help!
  6. Marisa - where did you go out afterwards? Is it somewhere close to either where the boat drops you off, or was it closer to your hotel? I know I will have some guests (maybe me?) that want to go out afterwards and I've love to give them some suggestions.
  7. So glad to have 2 more great mods - congrats, ladies!

  9. Natalie inspired me, I loved her dress, so it made me want to shop too. Besides, I really feel like I need to start checking things off of my list. Which dress do you like? I couldn't narrow it down to less than these six! (I haven't replied to TammyM's other thread yet, but yes, I am indecisive!) Dress 1: Bluefly - Product Details - #2063805 - BCBGMAXAZRIA turquoise cotton knit sequined dress Dress 2: Bluefly - Product Details - #2038849 - Alexia Admor nude metallic floral lace wrap style dress Dress 3: Bluefly - Product Details - #2043355 - Robert Rodriguez sea green crochet trim voile dress Dress 4: Bluefly - Product Details - #1062037 - Tocca pink sequin chiffon 'Stephanie' dress Dress 5: Bluefly - Product Details - #2042573 - Shoshanna mint chantilly embroidery netted dress Dress 6: Bluefly - Product Details - #2031093 - Jenny London peach beaded chiffon halter dress
  10. Ok, Natalie's dress inspired me ... time to dress shop, and I need some help!

  12. I am too - I just let the lady at the bridal shop tell me what she thinks - lol. The one I am thinking of buying it about "butt length" and comes to a point in the back, I forget the name for this. I really need to decide.
  13. i think i'd rather have the booty than no butt at all. at least that's what i tell myself. Paul has absolutely NO butt to speak of. it actually almost caves in there!
  14. I love the individual cake idea - but not sure what I will end up doing. At a wedding I attended, they had the cakes at each table. The bride & groom, as well as the wedding party, went around to each table to cut and serve the cake. That way everyone got to interact a little more with the wedding party, and it was a little more personable. This was a big wedding though.
  15. Welcome! Let us know how we can help you in any way!
  16. I will find out where he's located, and if he charges for travel and let you know. He included a video in his email - so I do have one, I haven't watched it yet though.
  17. I haven't decided yet. But regardless, I plan on wearing flowers in my hair because even if I do wear a veil, I will take it off after the ceremony. You can do both! I am just afraid I won't feel like a bride if I don't wear a veil!
  18. Not only would it save money, but then you could keep them! Not a bad idea!

There was a bottle of champaigne in the room for us. They are building a jacuzzi in the back of the bridal suite, maybe it will be complete by June, you should ask Nicole. For the hair, a place called Cocco (or something like that) I had a trail on Tuesday but then a different lady came out the day of the wedding, not part of the plan so I was nervous but thank god I still had the picture, she did it great. She didnt speak ANY english so hopefully you do or someone you are bringing out early does. Ok, that does sound pretty darn cool - I might have to think about heding over early. You didn't feel like you missed out by not going over on the boat with everyone else? That's the only thing I worry about - but I don't want to be rushed at all that day, so I am sure I will head over early. I will just have to find some girls to go w/me since I don't have any bridesmaids! How many people can go over early - or doesn't it matter, they just let you bring as many as you want? Yikes - I think that would freak me out to see a different girl, and one that doesn't speak any English! But she did a good job - so I guess that's all that matters!
  20. Well that's exciting news - how many people did you invite? At least you know way ahead of time - I am still wondering about 1/2 of my guests!
  21. I definitely love the swing at the bar - what a great idea! I was thinking I wanted the taupe napkins as well, though I haven't even looked at all of my options - so it was nice to see them on your table. Paul really does want a cake, so I am sure we will get one. How was the rest of the food, both the appetizers and dinner, did you just go w/what they offered, or did you customize at all? Were there enough options for a vegetarian (my sister)? What time did you go over there, and what did you do all day? Really, the bridal suite is worth going over early for? Don't they have a spa on site? I think I will have someone come out to do my hair & makeup - who did you use? I just don't want to have to worry about all of that stuff. I am getting even more excited now!
  22. I just heard back from Antonio about his rates, and what they include. I am sharing so 1) you can contact him if you're interested, and 2) so you can let me know what you think! FYI - It looks like he also travels for weddings if you're interested. He doesn't mention any charges for that, if he has to travel. If you want me to email you the file he sent me, just PM me your email address and I will forward it to you. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi! Ann, my rates are as follows: 200 usd per hour, and to cover the whole event is 800 usd, this includes the whole day, no extra charges or hidden charges, this includes the videotaping with two cameras, this means i will videotape your event along with my assistant, and the final production is two original dvds of your event completely edited and masterized in both cases, rate per hour and rate per whole day, i am sending you a work sample, though is no from a beach wedding, it is a sample of a classic wedding, but if you like i can send u a dvd sample of american people weddings to your mailing address who got married on Cancun and Riviera Maya and Puerto Vallarta, i'd send a dvd with these three complete weddings, i do this cause my web site is under construction, just let me know if you would like to have them and send me your current mailing address,
  23. Marisa - those are great! It looks like you really had a great time, and it seems sooo beautiful!! 1) I love your hair, I forget - did you hire someone to do hair/makeup, or did you do it on your own? 2) I see a lot of flowers, on the bar, and the archway/chuppah - are those extra that you paid for? 3) Also, are you glad you got a cake - I noticed there are a lot of desserts in the buffet. 4) Are all the linens provided by Nicole and no charge, the ones on the tables for dinner, and the chairs for the wedding? They really look great and I don't think I'd need anything extra. I have so many questions, but I am trying not to ask too many! lol These pictures are so much fun - keep sharing, and thanks! P.S. I decided to number my questions so they're easier to answer (so much for not being a pest!). And I LOVE the picture of you on the swing!
  24. I'm sorry about the butterflies - but that does sound like it might have been kind of funny, at least you can laugh about it! Poor things. Good to know about the flowers - I was really thinking of doing just the minimal, a bouquet for me and a flower for Paul - then not much else really. Not sure yet what I will do on the tables, if anything - what did you do (I forget)? Did your placemats even show up? That's so sweet of him to thank you in his speech - what a catch! Also, you would have extended the night by an hour? This is something I go back and forth on, and am hoping that I can decide at the last minute. I'd hate for people to feel "trapped" there, since they can't leave, but I am afraid we won't want to go back!
  25. Marisa - sorry to hear you've been sick - that's no fun! I am sure coming home to this cold weather couldn't have helped. And that's really too bad to hear about your photos, but hopefully there are plenty that you're happy with. I wonder if there's anythiing you can do about the clarity or line down the middle - maybe some photogs or photography experts can chime in? That's great that you were able to get them so fast though, and I can't wait to see! I think a link would be great - then you don't have to load them all twice. So how did it all go - what was your favorite part? Your least favorite? What would you do again, and what would you do differently?
