i know - i was trying to think of something for that too ... but i really DO believe in karma!

so i noticed i have a few little karma points - and i was curious what these were all about. i am curious about how i got the little karmas! maybe i should start giving them out - i never think about it.

what a relief Sarah - that's great! not only did you find a beautiful dress that you love - you got it for a great price!

tammy - the more i learn about you the more i really think we are related! i have awful nails, just awful, they're thin and flakey - they don't break, they bend and peel - and they're flat. and when they grow even as long so they reach the end of my finger, they kind of bend and curve. it's ugly. and a couple of them have a permanent ridge in them. my mom and sis have perfect nails (and teeth!), but not dad and i. i plan on getting acrylics - i've done it before (my 1st wedding) and it worked. i won't maintain them, but there's no way i will have nice looking hands on my own. and i know they're not good for your nails - but there's really not much you can do to harm these nail. oh yea, i have super dry skin too. i don't bite my nails (unless they're peeling already and bugging me), but the stupid cuticles are always flaking and driving me insane!

wow - close call. since i'd pick #2 for me - that's my vote. they're both really cute. i am in a wedding May 5 - you're not going to a wedding in MN by any chance, are ya? lol

I think I might want one too - the silver one though. i might go to the craft store this weekend and see if they have anything too.

Sarah - you've been so quiet! What are your thoughts on all of our opinions?

Funny - I just logged on to post something about her getting married at Las Caletas today ... congratulations! I hope everything turns out better than you imagined!

I grew up with a different last name than my mother, and it was never a big deal. My mom changed her name back to her maiden name after she divorced my father. So if she doesn't want to change it - you can make it work!

I think that sounds fabulous! I am sure you can easily pull something like this off - especially since this won't be your legal ceremony. I guess I'd suggest finding a nice place to stay, since you already have the area narrowed down, then talk to the wedding coordinator at the hotel, if there is one, and see what she says. Or if the hotel can't help, find a local WC - or just hire someone to perform the ceremony. Not sure if they helps at all - - I am tired and was rambling!

I had some friends that were in the same situation, and they thought about coming up w/a new last name, and both changing. In the end, they didn't do that - and it doesn't take care of all of your concerns, but it's an idea. I will definitely be keeping my maiden name as a 2nd middle name this time around. I am still changing back to my maiden name from my first marriage - it's a PITA, no doubt.
