  2. I've corresponded with Nicole via email primarily - she's the wedding coordinator at Las Caletas, and is AMAZING! She's actually a member of this forum, but isn't on here very much. I've talked to her once on the phone, right when I was booking my date. I obviously can't tell you what dates area available, but let me know if you have any other Las Caletas questions. Three brides from this forum got married there in Jan., and one on Valentines Day - so there are lots of pictures to look at, and more coming! Here are some threads if you want even MORE info! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2597 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1775 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2216 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1304 As for having enough time ... honestly, I still think you could do it in June if you wanted to! You'd obviously have to be flexible with dates, be able to find a dress that you can get in time, stuff like that - but it's possible! Your guests also wouldn't have a ton of notice - but if they're the type to be able to pick up and go somewhere in June (kids are getting out of school!) - then you can probably swing it!
  3. Well ... I am getting married in puerto Vallarta, or more specifically at Las Caletas. Las Caletas is a private beach cove area about a 45 min boat ride away from PV - it's only accessible by boat! FI and I wanted privacy - which is our main reason for choosing Las Caletas. We're getting married in June, which is the start of the rainy season in PV - but we're crossing our fingers! Then we're staying at Dreams in PV, and having our welcome dinner there the night before the wedding. Just a different idea for you to mull over! There are quite a few Las Caletas brides on here. And many other girls getting married all over Mexico - Cabo, PV, Cancun, RM, Tulum, ... so many options! 4. Welcome to this site! I moved your post so that you had your own thread, and we can welcome you properly! Do you have any idea where you want to have your wedding - Mexico, Hawaii, Carribean, etc. ... we have all sorts of brides on here!

Leigh - would you need an assistant?! Cabo WC - I don't know that I even know your name!
  6. ever since that girl stole our pics - I am a little hesitant to do that. i don't mind an epic all over, but not sure about these! and I think I had Tammy take my other b-pic down. when i get my digital pics i would probably feel more comfy emailing or posting somewhere private
  7. i just did mine in Paint actually since I dont have any fancy programs. It seemed to work! also, some printers will do it for you
  8. Ok, I had to bring this thread back alive since we got our pictures! I actually peeked at them here at work - very risky since people are walking around all of the time! Not sure I want my co-workers and client to see my boobies! Anyway - before Sarah, Lenita, and I hijack every other thread - I thought I'd start the convo here. Sarah - well, whatcha think?! Are you happy with them? Are you going to make an album? I think I may have Leigh do my b-pics, but I might try to make an album w/my e-pics.
  9. no problem - i definitely didn't know anything about DIY projects before this DW! you just buy the transfer paper (I got mine at Office Depot or something), and then print your design on it like a regular piece of paper (has to be ink jet I believe, at least the paper I used). You do have to invert your image first or they'd come out backwards! the paper came w/great instructions. anyway, then you take the paper, lay it down on your bag, and iron it on! quite easy actually. that's how i did mine anyway.
  10. when i was looking at those resorts, i had started taking notes. this is all I have ... ------------------------------ There are actually 4 Pueblo Bonito properties. The Rose, Blanco, Sunset Beach and Pacifico. Sunset Beach and Pacifico are located on the Pacific Ocean and the other two are in town on Medano Beach. All of them are really nice. Pacifico does not allow kids. Sunset Beach is built on a mountain so you get around the property on golf carts. Might not be the best place for a older group. Rose and Blanco are within walking distance to everything in town and is on a swimmable beach. Sunset and Pacifico you are not able to swim in the ocean because of undertows. Regarding wedding coordinators - Playa Grande does not allow outside wedding coordinators to work there, but all the Pueblo Bonito properties do. Have you thought of maybe Sunset Beach or Pacifica they are not on the main drag with everyone else it's on on it 's own on the Pacific side facing west. It's on a private beach! -----------------------------

  12. thanks! i asked paul if i should make a "Mother of the Bride" and "Mother of the Groom" bag too - he hated this idea. lol Oh well, I just started having fun coming up with ideas when he was cutting out all of the iron-ons!
  13. Welcome, Lili - I am working in Raleigh lately (off and on), and I love the area! There are some really helpful Cancun brides on here - so let us know how we can help!
  14. They definitely are great - Sol is actually a member of this forum as well. I love her stuff, and Matt's as well!
  15. Oh, I do think we're doing paper bags for the single guys so I can put all of their goodies in there. I just don't see them carrying around our canvas bags!
  16. ditto - i used the one monogram that had our names as the secondary focus, and Puerto Vallarta as the main focus. i hope people like them!
  17. Welcome, Debbie! There are getting to be so many Canadian brides on here - it's great! Let us know how we can help you at all. It sounds like you have the hard part out of the way already ... deciding on the location!
  18. thanks! as soon as I saw Tammy's (host) I thought that I wished I would have done the monograms bigger - they just look more authentic. maybe. i am so indecisive! overall though, i am happy w/how they turned out.
  19. Welcome to the site, Nancy! You're such a great mother to help out like this! What kind of location are you thinking about? We have brides on here getting married in Mexico, Jamaica, Hawaii, Napa, Dominican Republic, and Cuba (and I may be forgetting some). Let us know what you're thinking - and we will do our best to help! You have plenty of time to decide - no worries!
  20. what about adding a cloth runner, either 1 just laying across the table or 2 to make a cross in the middle? you could probably get the fabric for pretty cheap - and it would add a bit of color
