  3. Wow - I don't log on for 1/2 a day and look what I miss! I had no idea my legs stood out - I've always hated them, I feel like they're too short and "stocky" but I appreciate the comments. I attribute it to 15-20 years of soccer! Quote: Originally Posted by TOESNTHESND WOW- Sexy Cabo brides!!! The pics turned out awesome, now I need to find someone in my area. 4. Welcome, Courtney! Glad to have you on board ... let us know how we can help you!
  5. I am guessing you've already done this, but read through some of these threads to get a feel for what each of these resorts has to offer. In my opinion, this is the hardest part - so it gets easier after this! As the girls will tell you, I am such a list person - so I put all the PV Resorts we were considering in a spreadsheet and started writing down all the comments/reviews I was getting so I had it all in one place. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/f10/ http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2369
  6. nope - I ordered them from cheaptotes.com for $.99 for a bag.
  7. I definitely like it - totally looks like something I'd buy/wear! the only thing i noticed is that it's black & white (duh - that's the name of the store!), but i am really trying to add color to my wardrobe for the wedding since my tendency is to do solids or black/white stuff. i bought a really cute white sundress like thing - and i LOVE it - but may wear the one dress i bought from Blue Fly just becuase it has some color!
  8. what i'd do is print it out on a regular 8.5 x 11 piece of paper (not the transfer paper) and hold it up to the bag. even cut it out if you want. then you can see how big it will be on the bag and you can adjust accordingly! once you have the size you want, you can print it out on the actual transfer paper.
  9. How exciting - and what a great way to pick your site together. I am sure the RM brides on here will have plenty of suggestions!
  10. it is. and since the size i wanted was about 1/2 the size of the paper -it worked out well. i will say though, i kind of wish i had done them like Tammy's (host) - the design takes up the whole bag and looks nice.
  11. i say leave it up to him. i personally wouldn't want to be a wool (aren't they usually wool!?) in Mexico - but heck, if he wants to ... i am primarily Scottish as well - but don't think anyone plans on the kilt!

  13. TammyM - if it's not too much of a hassle and expense, I would give them one. I have some friends brining their young children, and they're also bringing his mom & dad to watch the kids. I may as well give them one too! I hadn't thought of that until now ...
  14. thayt's interesting Sherri - and those are the bags i was going to order too - but the medium ones! I am glad I went w/the canvas. honestly, there isn't much to what I did. but here's what I can remember: 1) buy the bags (duh) 2) buy the transfer paper. i believe there is a different type for dark vs. light fabric, my bags were light so i bought the appropriate paper. sarah (sassygirl) did dark, so she may have more info for doing black/dark bags. i bought mine at Office Depot, i think it was like $19 for 12 sheets. i am sure you can find it cheeper. 3) find a way to flip your design. i first copied it into Microsoft Paint (it's free, and i had it already!) - there's probably a better tool. but anyway ... to flip it I just went to Image > Flip/Rotate and selected Flip Horizontal 4) I then copied the flipped design into MS Word 5) in order to print out 2 monograms on the transfer paper, i resized the monogram to make it 1/2 the size of the page, then copied and pasted so that there were 2 on a page. attached is the word doc. i used 6) i then printed on scratch paper (not the transfer paper) to test out the design and see if i liked the size, colors, etc. I even held it inside the bag, and held the bag up to some light so i could see what it looked like 7) once I was happy, i printed 1 transfer paper w/my desgin. i wanted to finish a bag completely before moving ahead w/printing all of them! from here i really followed the instructions that came w/the paper. for the first bag, i just cut the paper in half, so each design was on 1/2 a piece of paper. then i ironed it on according to the paper's instructions. 9) for all following bags, i spent the time to cut as much of the blank paper off around the monogram as possible so you don't see the "plastic-y" stuff on the bag. this part i think they should mention in the paper instructions! 10) if you do add a 2nd piece to your bags like i did w/the "Flowergirl" text, I'd suggest ironing both parts on at the same time. if you try to go back and add the 2nd piece, you can't iron over the first one and it makes it a little more tricky. I really hope that makes sense, and helps someone out! Let me know if you have any questions! OOT Bags.doc
  15. In my Save the Date I put included a card that had the link to our website, and our travel agent information. Then on the website I have more detailed travel information - the cost was changing to much, and people coming from different places and on different dates - i don't think I could have put that info. anywhere. my invites will be pretty "traditional" in that it will just be the invite, and an RSVP card. i may do an additional insert if there's any more information i think they need - but I don't know what that would be yet. long story, short - i do think you can do whatever you want! there are girls who aren't doing invites at all. but since many people haven't RSVPd to us yet, i think this might be the only way to get them moving!
  16. have you ever thought of making your own? a friend of mine made her own candles for a while - not sure how much work is involved.
