  1. wow - nice work! i am really going to try to mimic that veil i liked - w/the silver trim and pearls on the trim. i am going to go to the craft store and see what they have. oh, and i ran across this in my hunt - it looks pretty helpful Making a Veil
  2. i am so excited for anyone that gets to do this with Leigh - for some reason it's just so easy to take your clothes off in front of her and let her take pictures! weird? i think so - but it happens!
  3. Didn't someone have a funny Spanish phrases sheet - like something about how to say "where is my donkey?" or something? I think that would suit our guests just perfectly!
  4. no problem - there are probably even more threads of you look under the same sub-forum as those are in. i figured those were good to start with though
  5. alright, that's it - Melissa you've inspired me to attempt this myself! maybe i will try this weekend so i will know if i need to buy one (when the DIY veil doesn't work out!)
  6. Here are some threads to check out ... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t3029 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2941 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2858 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t81
  7. try this out - let us know if you need help! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1489
  8. if you were having a wedding at home, would they be ok with paying for the rehearsal dinner? i guess technically tradition says that it's the grooms side that pays for that i think, but still. the difference w/a DW is that you don't typicaly have a rehearsal, and since everyone came a long way you'd want to invite everyone to the dinner the night before. are you staying at an AI (sorry - i forget) - but if you are you might be able to pull off a "meet here for a group dinner" type thing.
  9. same here i think - i put the SO's on the STD name if it was a serious enough relationship. if i knew someone might be dating i said "and guest" - there were a few i didn't put "and guest" but I let them know they could bring someone!
  10. THANK YOU! I looked at the one you sent before, and LOVED it - I am going to check these out for sure.
  11. i think it actually might add a nice little touch of color! and little artsy flare!
  12. i wouldn't check it - no way! they will accomodate you i bet, i wouldn't worry. as a last resort you can always lay it in the overhead bins on top of other stuff. you'd have to get a pretty cruel flight crew to not accomodate a bride!
  13. try googling it - quite a few things came up for me! Here's one Wine Corks | Wine Bottle Corks - The Widget Mfg. Co.

  15. yea - i was wondering that myself! i guess you can use putty like stuff to stick them in place, but also so that people could still move them and pick them up
  16. i did. and i only have done one of them, once, and i honestly didn't feel like it was much of a workout. but maybe i did the easy one. i haven't been great the last couple of weeks - but i need to kick it into gear soon! stay tuned, and i will let you know how the rest goes ...
  17. welcome, May! let us know how we can help.
  18. IMHO I'd avoid going into debt to pay for your wedding - but that's just me! we're lucky enough to be able to save enough to pay for the wedding w/o going into debt. there are a lot of great saving and budget tips on this forum too!
  19. Here are some threads you can take a look at, if you haven't already. I also pasted in a review by one of the girls on this forum that was married at the PB Sunest. Hope this helps! If nothing else, it will give you something to read tonight! *I opted to PM you the review ... you might already have it though! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1237 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t824 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1713
  20. welcome, Mike! you're not the only groom - no worries! i am sure someone will be able to pipe in and help you out w/your question.
  21. Christine - i thought of you when I saw these - just an idea. i got them off the know somewhere (if it's yours - let me know!)
  22. same dilema here. i ordered my dress to barefoot length, and the place where i bought my dress told me that i'd be ok w/any shoes 1" or less. but really - i am not sure how much it will matter. i'd rather it be a little too short than long so i don't trip!
