  1. I am moving back - in less than a month! I was born/raised in the western suburbs of Mpls (Maple Grove/Plymouth) but we bought a house in Minneapolis - just west/southwest of Lake Harriet. I am so excited! thanks!
  2. i'm afraid the satin one is too white - my dress is pretty ivory, almost "cream" if that makes any sense. i might get both and sell the other one - or sell both if they don't work!
  3. it does - it has a lace overlay, kind of like the purse. would that be too much lace?
  4. ok - what about these 2? i decided i didn't like the other one (w/the beads). they are both on ebay and the 2nd one ends in about 8 hours! maybe i should get both and just sell waht i decide i don't want. the lace one: or the satin one:
  5. i am not sure i LOVE the clip art i used either - and kept wanting to play with it. paul talked me in to just leaving them just how they are so i could just finish them. we've only got 2 weekends before we move, and haven't even started packing! i needed to get these things done. now i just need to hear back from Marilu at Dreams PV to see what the heck time my dinner can be so I know what to put on the invites!
  6. You're welcome. I remember being at the stage where I was ready to give up the DW idea because it was too overwhelming. All I could find was info. on weddings at big resorts, and for some reason that just didn't seem like "us." - my sister somehow stumbled across the Las Caletas website. But then I couldn't find anyone that knew anything about it. And now here we are with about 15 Las Caletas brides on here! I am so glad I didn't give up on the DW idea - and am even happier that I found this forum. The girls (and guys!) here are great, and so helpful. Anyway - it's getting late, and I need to work on invitations! Or go to bed - one of the two!
  7. here is a link to the website that tells more ... Puerto Vallarta Wedding Planner for Mexico Destination Weddings And here are various threads about Las Caletas - there are quite a few girls on this forum getting married there: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...earchid=173881 let us know if you have any questions! if you have specific questions about Las Caletas, you may want to post them on the Las Caletas thread so you get teh attention of the Las Caletas brides!
  8. I am getting married at a place called Las Caletas in Puerto Vallarta - if you're looking for a more private wedding, this is an option. You take a boat ~45 min. from Puerto Vallarta to Las Caletas - and you have your wedding and reception at a private beach cove area. Then afterwards you take the boat back. If you want to hear more - let me know.

I know there are plenty of girls getting married at Cabo Surf Hotel - look for Janet1111 and her review. It's a smaller hotel if you don't like the big resort idea.
  10. any wedding i've been in (about 5 now!) i always paid for my own hair to be done. then again, i've never been a part of a DW. but i would say that by no means are you required to pay for it - but it would be an option to give that as a gift.
  11. I LOVE the first one - those are totally my taste. They're both great - nice choices!

So conflicted! not to butt in here - but isn't that one of those BIG decisions you should have made before getting married!!?? i think it's totally fine that you don't want to have kids - but i think you should sit down w/your FI and come to a resolution sooner rather than later! i know you didn't ask - but just my opinion!
  13. Lenita - you go girl! Too funny that he asked WHO took teh pictures. Did you tell him you got those photos taken with a few random girls you met online? Ha!
  14. those are beautiful! i loved watching the slideshow, it was extra fun being that i've actually met lenita! congrats, lenita and andre!
  15. All I have to say Christa is good for you for getting yourself through school! A lot of people would have given up and/or made excuses. You did what you needed to do - and made good $ doing it - and now you have your education! About me - well, nothing interesting or shocking, but some of you may not know ... I am diabetic, and was diagnosed at age 21 - a little late for Type I, just a couple weeks after my 21st birthday. I fear the long term complications, but I am the healthiest diabetic you'll find I think right now! I also fear what it will do to me when I have kids - but I am ready to deal with it, and do what I need to do. It's the one thing that makes me feel "weak" since I consider myself a fairly strong person otherwise.
