so my mom has been super busy, and catering a ton of weddings. it turns out she really loves it! it just goes to show that she should have listened to me all along - i've always told her she needs to cook for a living. HA!

maybe i am a bad mom, but i have strangers watch my kid! in fact, tomorrow someone i have never met (but was referred to us by a friend) is coming. and while we lived in london we signed up for a babysitting service and had 5-7 different people show up at our door. when you don't have family around, and require time away from your kid ... sometimes it's the only option! then again, i'd never say "no kids" for my wedding - they are part of the fun! and since it wasn't MY kid, it's not my responsibility! but since you don't want kids there and your in-laws don't want a babysitter, i guess you have to decide what is more important to you. people have offered some good advice and compromise options - i hope something works!

reminder: you can be banned for asking someone to email you an attachment

oh, and when i was re-reading thsi whole thread, it really made me miss some of the people that used to post more often (or at all!). it also made me realize that i didn't miss some of them. heehee

personally i wouldn't care at all! BUT since you do, i think the other posters have made a good point - did she know that you didn't want them to match, and went against your wishes? if so, that is tacky and rude IMHO. but you can't assume that she knew this since 1) some people (like me!) just don't think to care about that stuff, and 2) some people try to match/coordinate the mothers to the bridal party do you have a relationship where you can be honest with her and let her know how you feel?

I say ignore what people may or may not thing, it's all about wearing something that you're comfortable in, and that makes you feel like a bride! And heck, comfort isn't such a bad thing either. But for the record, I love it - it looks like the perfect mix of "cool and beachy" and bridal. Nice work!

please dont' post this same question in several areas! if someone has anything to say, they will see this thread. i am removing your duplicate posts. also, have you tried doing a search? if anyone has used them it's likely that they've posted a review or mentioned them already. if not, odds are no one has used them yet!

to be honest, when you talk about "the moderators" you're really talking about all of us as we operate as a team and back eachother up. sure, some of us may word things differently, but in general we tend to agree with one another in terms of how to enforce the rules of this forum. and i believe the rules of the forum are sent to you when you sign up, they're in the siggy of every mod., and there's a section called "Bugs, issues or "how to" navigate forum questions" with many helpful "sticky" threads at the top. if you have any suggestions as to how we can make this easier for new members, we'd be happy to listen. but i don't think that you should blame the moderators for making anyone feel stupid.

please use the search feature as this has been discussed at length. or you can look at the "sticky" threads at the top of this sub-forum.

I added the pictures to the 1st post. Skadow, I also removed your webiste from your post as it was considered soliciting. Unless you have a paid vendor membership you're not allowed to advertise your business.

unfortunatly jill is right. TAs don't just automatically hold blocks of rooms for you w/o you specifically requesting that. perhaps she should have suggested this or brought it up, but it seems you might be at fault as well so dont' be too hard on her.

someone else had this issue after the upgrade. i had them remove the notification (in your UserCP) and then save. then go back in and change it back. that worked for them, hopefully it will for you as well.
