i can't remember where i "borrowed" it from, but it's certainly not my original creativity! i think i merged a few invites i saw to come up with that - it works for us. we're paying for this all on our own - not an ounce of help (financially or otherwise!) from anyone. but screw tradition (that's why we're having a DW, right? lol) - i wanted to let our parents know that this day is for them too.

Welcome Laura! I am getting married at Las Caletas in June, and I can't wait to hear more about what you're planning so far, and see/hear some of your ideas. We have a few brides that just got married in Jan/Feb and a few that are getting married in April and May. As my photographer (Leigh Miller) pointed out to me, sometimes it's better if the photographer hasn't shot at that location before. New and different locations tend to inspire the creative type! So I wouldn't put as much importance on that as I would on the style and quality of work.

Welcome, Jolene! I know it's overwhelming, this is the hard part - don't worry. We'll get you through this - just take a deep breath! I do know that Tammy (host) had a "casino night" at Dreams Cabo, I'm not sure if that would be enough casino for you, but it's an option.

TammyM - it never ends. I was MOH at a good friends wedding. Before the wedding - long before - I talked to her about how I was very uncomfortable speaking in front of everyone and asked her if she minded if I didn't say anything. She totally didn't care - and I didn't think she would, she's not like that and it was totally casual. But the other bridesmaids gave me a hard time when they all said something. Sorry - but not everyone is comfortable with this! I didn't say anything at my first wedding, but my ex did. I freak out! So don't be too hard on him if it's just that he's not comfortable. If he's just lazy and insensitive - then you can be hard on him! lol

i think that will be perfect - you will be able to have 4 centerpieces, and plenty of votives to scatter around. how many tables will you be having? probably 4 or so for guests w/20 people. and wow - nice price!

i always just take a tin/jar of my chnage into the bank - and then either dump it in the machine they have their, or let them do it.

honestly, i am sending out invites "soon" - hopefully this weekend - and my wedding is early June. And I am considering them mostly a formality as most of my guests have booked already. i think it depends on what your guests are like - some do wait for the formal invite to book. luckily most of ours didn't! there will be some stragglers - but we already have the immediate family and close friends all booked.

shhhhhhhhh! well, i only remember to post it after i've won. so there is somewhat of a connection! and i remember to play when i win, and when i post. it all works out nicely!

I've seen your video Amanda - as a member of the PV Brides Yahoo Group - it made me tear up, and I don't even know you! It was this video I showed to Paul to convice him we should get a videographer!

I would love to see one of the girls video's who had theirs done at Las Caletas. I think Marla asked this on the other thread - and I am pretty sure they put your video to music, but do they also allow you to hear the sound, like of the vows?

One question - the table set up, I see you have something on the plates, but other than that - is that all "stardard" with the package? I am trying to decide if I need/want to add anything (venterpieces, table runners, etc.), and I'm really not sure you need to! It looks beautiful!
