  1. I LOVE Lill - this is what I wanted to do for my shower, but not sure I will get to afterall - we're just so busy! Cute idea, Natalie! Sarah - I have ordered one, but I am not sure if it will work - I ordered this one I also saw one at a little shop here in Chicago if the one I ordered doesn't work - but not sure it will get here before I move to MN! What a pain!
  2. I will not be doing a site visit at all - so we're totally winging it!
  3. ahhh, i see. well, whatever it is, it's beautiful! what a great thing to cross off the list. now i need to get on the ball too. i guess you can always use a fake band if you need to for the ceremony, but that's not nearly as fun.
  4. Yea, if those silk shoes just weren't so expensive, darn it. Sad thing is, there's someone out there that will buy those. Yuck.
  5. Wow - once I started digging, they really have a lot of options here! Be sure to use the menu to the left to see all of the shoes. Or here is the home page: SandalWorld :: Jack Rogers, Mystique, Bernardo, Havainas, Summer Sandals, Beach Sandals, Beaded Sandals, Thongs, Flip Flops
  6. Did you order online? That's the next big purchase - and we haven't really started looking seriously!

Are you looking for red shoes, or just w/a little red accent? THese are cute (not red) - but of course they're $250 - more than I want to spend. 8. That's actually a great idea - and people will use those again. Too bad I already bought mine!
  9. These are cute though - they're $250, but kinda cute with the little starfish. Starfish Flat Toe Ring Sandal
  10. They won't work for me, but I thought these were cute for someone looking for some color in their shoes: LaRedoute&
  11. Just from the title it sounds like a good book. Often times couples, especially those that haven't lived together or haven't lived on their own, dont think about how they our their spouse will handle the day-to-day tasks and stresses that will come up. Getting these questions out in the open early is ALWAYS a good idea!
  12. I was totally thinking of doing that, Tammy - if I found some cute plain shoes in a style that I likd, I could just glue on some "bling" in a color and design that I like. I just may end up doing that afterall.
  13. Check out some of these threads - you can get a great idea for what people are spending. Don't worry about asking - that's what we're all here for! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t933 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2105 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t1495
  14. it is - i've heard bad things, but at least you're under doctors care! they thought i had it recently, but it just must have been some other rash or allergic reaction. i've heard the pain associated with shingles can be awful. hope you feel better soon!
  15. i would love those last ones in a lower heel! they'd probably also look great w/the aqua detail too. ahhhhh! there's always something.
  16. I do love those Vera Wang's - but the heel looks pretty high. Where are all of these from? You're awesome - thanks, Melissa!
  17. Yea - you girls would kill me if you heard what I ate all weekend. Ended it w/2 huge slices of deep dish pizza for lunch, and just had some ice cream for dinner. And I wonder why I can't get into shape?
  18. I just worry about the part between the toes - those always end up bothering me at the end of the day!
  19. Ok, I know you are all a resourceful bunch, and like a good challenge. I am trying to find the perfect shoe, and apparently I am a little picky. I also hate not being able to try things on, but alas, I think my best options are online. Here is what I THINK I am looking for in my ideal shoe: - low heel; I got my dress tailored to barefoot height and the woman suggested I get no more than a 1" heel - i am trying to avoid the flip-flop style with the part between the toes, because that part always bugs me after a while. i was hoping for some slide-on shoes, but could be flexible here! - no ankle straps! - my dress is ivory w/silver accents (threading & sequins), and an embroidery type detail - see below for picture - I do want to keep it somewhat simple - but yet I don't want boring, I just keep thinking of the cool shots Leigh could get if I had some fun shoes! - I definitely like the antique look if i go w/any jewels on the shoe, but ... - I am also considering incorporating some blue (a subtle aqua) into the shoe if i found the right one - here is a sample of some blue crystals/gems and styles I do like (just make them into a shoe!) (these might be cute if they were real shoes, and more "antiquey" and a lower heel) Here are some styles I like, but they're not right in other ways: These are really cute - but might be too high: The store provided a sample of my dress, and here is the detailing Whew, I think I need to go to bed now. Post your ideas please - and I will be forever grateful!
