  1. yea. and Paul and I are ready to tell him ... "ok, take your little bucket away. then we'll see if we get water again." ass.
  2. YAY! That will be a great resource for people considering Belize as a wedding location.
  3. I ordered mine recently too - well, I had Leigh make it for me - I just don't know if I could do her photos justice! And I just couldn't take on the project right now - not with the move and all that going on too. I hope you'll share SOME of it with us!
  4. TAmmy - i think pregnancy photos are absolutely beautiful! you might not be far enough along yet to get those photos where you're clearly prego - but it could be a fun idea.
  5. Dang - sorry to hear! Good thing the developer took care of it - they're not always that accomodating! Oh yea, update: the wood floor below where the mini-flood happened is ruined as well. And the guy upstairs isn't being great - he wants a "professional opinion" about where the leak started. So he's coming over Mon AM at 7:30 - he damn well better coorperate, or he will find out how nasty this midwest gal can get!
  6. Jill would you be able to post about the great WC you know? It might be helpful for other brides looking for Belize vendors. I think it would be great to hear about one that you've worked with personally!
  7. I am only doing OOT bags - unless something strikes me as a great idea in the next few months.
  8. Welcome to the site - better late then never! Anything else we can help you with? Sounds like you're in teh same boat as TammyM - not too many of her guests are coming, but most of her FI's are coming. Like you said - as long as the two of you are there, that's what matters! Are you having a party back home?
  9. Welcome! Glad you found this site - it's a life saver for me (and probably everyone else on here!). We have brides (and grooms) getting married all over the place - let us know what kind of questions you have ... that's what we're here for! Also just noticed you're in Chicago - plenty of us Chicago gals too! We even had a get togehter once, we may do it again ...
  10. yea - it's been awful. i've been meaning to say something. bug away - it's always either entertaining, or at least informative! but - have fun in Vegas - I expect to hear all the fun stories when you get back!
  11. I have been there, but it was so long ago and I don't remember where I stayed! It was w/a group of co-workers and we all stayed in these little hut like rooms - I can tell you it was awesome! I realize this doesn't help - but I do remember LOVING Belize!

  13. Hey Jessica! I pop onto the Knot occasionally, but I just find it easier to navigate around this forum. Hopefully you can find things here useful too - have any last minute tasks you need help with?
  14. I don't think this guy is trying to scam anyone - he clearly states what comes with this package. He doesn't list print prices, so obviously you'd need to find that out ahead of time, but he's pretty clear about a lot of things on his site. And while he may not mention it, my assumption is that, as any other photographer that's offered a discounted or free wedding, that they're just trying to get their name out there and build up their portfolio! ------------FROM HIS WEBSITE---------- One dollar wedding photography package! 15. Paul plans on wearing a long sleeve shirt, and pants - no jacket. He may change his mind, but right now - no suit. I am sure I will be sweating myself, I sure wouldn't want a jacket on!

    Newbie

Welcome! We all love Sol's work here - great choice in photographer! Where is Maroma Beach?
  17. Welcome! I didn't want the big resort ceremony either, but we ARE staying at Dreams Puerto Vallarta, but our wedding is offsite at a private beach cove area, only accessible by boat (Las Caletas). If that sparks your interest, just let me know - there are quite a few of us getting married there. I know some girls got married in Cabo at the Cabo Surf Hotel - and that may fit your needs better - look for Janet1111, and then Christa just got married there too, here's her review: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t3895
  18. Welcome Heidi! There should be a few girls on here that can help with your locations, and I think that Jill Higgins (she's a photographer on this site) photographs a lot in Belize and may have some suggestions.

    Hi all!

Welcome Tara! This site will definitely be able to help ... let us know if you have any questions.
  20. I also like having a fake flower because then I know what it will look like, and I can use it at my hair trial. And I won't have to worry about it wilting through the evening - and i'ts a nice little keepsake, since I won't be able to keep my bouquet!
  21. i love honesty between family members! it's the only way to go in my opinion ...
  22. I'd say that one of the most important things is to talk about expectations up front. Just about day-to-day stuff - cleaning, cooking, errands, shopping, bills, etc. Make sure you're both on the same page, and there shouldn't be too many surprises!
  23. Welcome, Kayleena! I'm another Las Caletas bride - so if that sounds like something you're interested in, just let us know and we'll give you more info than you could ever ask for (here's their website Puerto Vallarta Wedding Planner for Mexico Destination Weddings)! Unlike you, I didn't want to get married at a resort - I liked the idea of the ceremony being private. But that's the great part about a DW - you can tailor it to what you want. Don't stress - we'll help you find the perfect place - it's out there!
