Holy crap, Mishi - you're leaving so soon! I am so excited for you. i just voted on here too ... we are leaving for Hawaii after our wedding in Mexico. it's been Paul's dream to always honeymoon in Hawaii - and who am I to say no to that!? we're actually getting legally married in Hawaii - so it will be extra special.

i know that at least one or two girls on here have done this - but i can't remember who!

i also bought too much paper for my invites - so i was hoping to use that up for stuff like that. i am sure i will think of a place to use them! even for thank you notes after teh wedding - or the shower (oooohhhh!)

UPDATE: the owner from upstairs and his handyman "buddy" came over this morning to check out the damage. you could tell they were fighting it all the way. the handyman guy actually said "the floor upstairs is all covered in dust" - i said "so is mine now that it's dry" - ass. long story short, they proved where the leak was coming from by testing it out -and sure enough, they took responsibility and made a claim against their insurance. now we just have to get someone out here to fix it!

i actually think that looks great! i was going to say you don't need that many votives, but i bet it looks killer at night - i LOVE candles!

the price of my dress included a hollow to hem ( i think that's what it's called anyway) so i am hoping that i have minimal alterations. mainly just put the boobie holders in! and since i am clearly not losing any weight - there shouldn't be much to take in either!

that's what i was going to say - the more water the better! seems like it would have the opposite effect, but oh welll ...

I assume "5 on teh beach" means at 5pm, not 5 people! but either way - you still have plenty of time - there are just a couple things you may want to get started on (invites, dress, etc.) - but again, no need to panic!

You can totally do this - no panic necessary! You've come to the right place for help ... just take a deep breath. I agree so far - make sure you at least have everything reserved (ceremony, etc.). Are you wanting to plan a welcome dinner or rehearsal dinner the night before or anything? May want to book that too. The details (menu, decor) can be done a little later. Then the dress - if you want a designer or something made, you may want to get moving. Off the rack can wait a little if you want. Invites - like someone said - do you want to make them, or just buy them? Or do you wnat to just do an email type thing? We can help!

it's very pretty, and looks killer on you - and even better if mom buys it! but i have to be honest - i wouldn't want to take off my wedding dress even for a free outfit from mom!

for the 1 room of guys that are flying solo, i think i will just put the same goodies in a paper bag rather than a canvas tote. i have posted some backpack style bags, but i am not going to bother - not with these guys!

I wasn't sure how to answer - because we paid for everything to do with the wedding, plus my moms and my dads lodging - as well as mom's airfare (with points). but i didn't pay for anything for any guests - luckily most of our guests are well enough off to be able to handle the vacation. so it was a little of both!
