i agree - wait until you can try it on. the color may just be off in the picture - hopefully it's closer to what you were expecting. also, you cna probably have some minor alterations (flower removed) for relatively cheap, and still come out with a great dress at an awesome price!

this is silly - i am just too practical for my own good. i like bags that stand up on their own, it makes it easier to get things out of them. and it looks like #1 would just fall over. so silly. i really don't think you can go wrong with either - i bet it's a close to 50/50 vote for these!

once i get teh flowers, i will play a little with them and my veil and take some pics! i know i've seen pictures of girls doing it - so it's possible!

i am wearing a veil, probably just over the flowers somehow. then i will take off the veil and just have the flowers.

glenda - you better start saving if you're crashing all of our weddings! lol i actually don't expect gifts from anyone, we weren't even going to register (until we were told we should, some people will want a registry!). anyway, i hadn't planned on getting any gifts, and i think will be surprised if we get any. maybe from those people that can't come, i guess. as for in town weddings, i am in my good friends wedding in a couple weeks, and i think i got her a $100 gift off of her registry from Paul and I.

side note (partial hijack) - my friend Marti who is getting marrid in may was doing a boot camp as well. she had her FI take a picture of her in just underwear and a sports bra from the front, back, and side. every few weeks they take the same pictures in teh same outfit, and the same background. you can totally see the progress, it was so fun to look at and actually see how much smaller she's getting! great idea for anyone doing the bootcamp or any workout routine. for me anyway, seeing the progress just motivates me to keep going!

i don't think any of you (or me!) are cheap - anyone i know spends around $100 per gift, tops. i have some friends that are pretty well off, and love to flaunt their $$, and they don't even spend more than that! lol but i don't want you all to feel cheap. i think glenda just runs w/the high rollers! lol - hell, i don't care who i offend, i wont' be giving $1000 to anyone!

can you get through customs with "live" flowers? i wouldn't think so - but i don't know for sure.

don't worry amy - if i spend $100 on a wedding gift, that's good. that's about my average. but just out of college when all my friends were getting married (and when I got married!) it was usually about $50-70.

that's usually what i do too - cover the cost of attending the wedding, but that's usually translated into the amt you spend on the gift (from the registry). i just wish we were getting cash!

interesting - i've never given cash as a gift! i just always buy off of the registry - or if i don't do that, i guess a gift certificate. but i'd much prefer cash!
