I had to put a deposit down to hold my date, but it's not at a resoort. I would guess this is common - I mean, otherwise people would be able to change their date all the time w/o penalty! But not sure what amt. is normal.

I don't want to, or have time to, make fancy placecards, and I also don't want to worry about transporting bulky items. I am excited - mainly because it means i get a 2 week vacation! I haven't thought much about the wedding - it's awful, I am so busy at work! But i guess that also means i am not stressing about it at all either. I am finalizing things w/Nicole now - she makes me feel so confident that all will turn out perfect -and i don't have to worry much! I just hope she's right! I don't think we are doing anything unique - having the Trio for the ceremony and cocktail hour, then a DJ. We're getting their videographer package - and I am bringing in my own photographer (Leigh Miller, also on this forum). Not exactly sure what we're doing for centerpieces yet - but Nicole has shown me some pictures i like. we're keeping it pretty simple. oh, we may do the sand or hand ceremony.
