funny how you could find this, but Marilu couldn't! that still irks me - it was the one thing I asked for that was "extra" and she said she couldn't find a cigar roller for our WD. grrrr (can you tell I am bitter?!) Thanks Amy!

Rain in May?!
LCBride2007 replied to bethtamar's topic in Destination Weddings in Puerto Vallarta & surrounding areas
The rainy season technically starts in June, and averages about 10 days of rain during June - for May, you're probably safe. I just got married June 8 in PV - and we didn't see rain until the day after the wedding (whew!). But it was just in the morning. -

Since our room block rate was $129/night/person it was a much better deal! And most people booked pretty early, so we didn't need the room block afterall. -

welcome! i also used Tammy (host) as my TA - pretty sure she'll deal w/any location, she specializes in destination weddings and honeymoons. i was just in PR for a quick weekend work trip and we stayed at the intercontinental. can't wait to hear more about your wedding!

Gift giving question...
LCBride2007 replied to Heidi's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
i heard that it's actually considered rude these days to bring the gift to the wedding - then the bride and groom have to worry about dealing with all of the gifts, and who wants to do that on their wedding day! (i realize you appoint people, but still ... ). i never bring the gift - i always have it shipped, it so much easier for everyone! -

Dreams Puerto Vallarta
LCBride2007 replied to TammyWright's topic in Puerto Vallarta Accommodations & Site
I think the cheapest rate we got was $106/person/night with the $50 spa credit. Our room block rate was $129/person/night - but we ended up not getting a room block. One of our guests sent out this picture - it's not a bad way to get an idea of the layout of the resort! -
Cab Ride from PV Airport to Dreams Resort

There are tons of cab drivers who aren't really cab drivers and you could be seriously delayed and annoyed, not a pleasant start to your holiday. A shuttle is worth spending the extra $15 or so. my cab from the airport to Dreams didn't even stop or talk to us - not sure if they just knew him or what. then when i left Dreams to go to my hair trial appt. they just asked my room # on the way out, and then back in. -

Ann thank you for all your advice, I am so stoked to get married in Las Caletas and sooooo happy I chose Leigh as my photographer. Congrats, the wedding looked like a dream! It was a dream - I wish it was a recurring dream! Honestly, I would tell anyone I met to get married there if they're looking for this secluded, "unique," beach type wedding - it was so perfect for us! And of course, I am so happy with Leigh's work, I couldn't have asked for a better photographer to work with! Quote: Originally Posted by sheaa If you don't mind. Cab Ride from PV Airport to Dreams Resort

Now that I've wiped the tears away, I can tell you how I really feel! Let's see...how can I describe this slideshow? Emotional, hilarious, gorgeous, sentimental, angelic, beautiful, amazing, stupendous, mind-blowing...etc... Absolutely AMAZING. Maybe it's just because I know and have met Ann & Leigh, but I feel like I was right there. I wanted to hug you Ann, right before the ceremony, because to be honest, either you were feeling very emotional, or you weren't feeling that well- but the pictures just expressed that emotion to me. I felt like I wished I could make it better! BUT...there were only 1 or 2 that way and from then on you looked sooooo happy. The look on Paul's face and your face during the ceremony was priceless. I love the funny looks you were giving eachother, then the emotional ones. There are so many amazing pictures I don't know how to recall them all...I love the one where Leigh- you look through the shutters to see Ann looking at herself in the mirror- too cool! And, by the beach with the mountains on the left, the beach on the right, and the sticks in the foreground- stunning! I love the dancing with the firedancers (Ann, you're so brave!), and the pics of you and Paul around the resort. Both of your eyes are so stunning...and Leigh you have outdone yourself. I think I see everything that goes up on your blog, but this is the best. Maybe because it's "our" ANN, and it's the wedding we've been waiting on from you for so long, but it was amazing. I laughed, I cried, and I've seen pictures I won't forget. :standing ovation to both of you!: for Ann! Awww - Sarah, now your post made ME get little tears! I know how you felt though, I felt the same when looking at your wedding photos (and Tammy's, I am sure!), but I felt like a close friend of mine just got married. As for the look on my face when I started walking with my dad and mom - it was probably concentration! As I met up with my dad, he was giving me very detailed instructions of where we were to go, and when to pause, and for how long. I had no idea how the ceremony was going to go, but he must have met w/the minister and so he was passing on the info to me. lol We had to pause for 5 then 10 seconds at 2 certain steps - so I was probably counting in my head! But once I got onto the sand, I was pretty much focusing on Paul!
