What Extracurricular Activites Do You Do Together?

We also love bike riding, playing soccer, and we LOVE playing games (think Uno Attack, Euchre, Taboo, etc. - most anything!). We do love to travel, but like I said - being gone so often - we love to be home too. Unless it's somewhere cool - like our trip to Cyprus this Fall! Oh, and we love to try out new restaurants ... love it! -

NOT! i've paid my dues, no thanks!

you're too sweet! Paul and I do the same thing - so just refer back to the post about what I do! lol we're both computer software consultants - that's how we met. well, we met when i was a consultant and he was the client. he's now a consultant too. lol i've always called it our "advanced recruiting program." i've been doing this forever (10+ years), he started a couple years ago. we basically help companies implement, upgrade, customize, train, test, etc. anything to do with the software package that we work with (PeopleSoft). we work for a tiny consulting company - not for the software company. typically we're on the road - we work 4x10 weeks - M-Th, 10 hour days as a standard. though that hasn't really been true lately - we just work like crazy! we're hourly, which has it's benefits, but we don't get paid when we're not working!

Customs in Mexico - declaring wedding stuff
LCBride2007 replied to PDCwedding's topic in Honeymoon Forum
again it all depends on who you have checking you in and at your gate! if you get someone in a bad mood, she may just enforce all of the rules and make you miserable. you get someone in a good mood, or just lazy - you'll be fine. we had extra suitcases, or maybe it was just they were over their weight limit - but there was no extra charge. just cross your fingers! -

Two beach weddings! Dang! Awww - thank you, Laura! (I think I'm blushing!) I am sure your wedding will be just as fabulous ... and it's coming up fast! This summer is going to be crazy with all of the weddings - well, it already is! I am lucky with my 2 fun weddings - though technically the legal ceremony was on grass, lol. But it was right by a beach!

what is involved with a civil ceremony?

Welcome to the forum! I have to ask - why Chicago? My FI is from there, and we just moved back to Mpls in April. I can't help much w/your question - but wanted to say welcome!

Thanks! Diana FYI - I room block often isn't the lowest rate. You actually pay more often because you're paying for the convenience of reserving rooms - at least this is how it was at Dreams. And this is why we ended up not doing the room block - our room block rate was $129, but then Dreams ran a promotion where it was $112 or $106 - so we just told guests about that and had them book early. No room block needed! We didn't get the perks that come with a room block, but at least we saved our guests some $$

Has anyone got their wedding dress cleaned yet?
LCBride2007 replied to erikanwalter's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
i had the dress from my first wedding cleaned and preserved (like shrink wrapped in a box) - it was close to $100. i will clean mine after i do the TTD session - it will probably be expensive due to all of the detail! -

I am having the DJ as well.... other than that I think all details are covered. Just need to figure out if we want to go through the whole civil ceremony while we are there. I am going to go back and look at pictures! I am sure I can find a couple more questions to ask! Hey! I did walk down to the Trio - but we didn't tell them what to play, we just let them do their thing. I did a bamboo chuppa, but I don't know if it costs extra. I do think that the big palm leaves are what you get if you don't specify anything else - no extra charge. Ask away! yea - i had a hard time answering some of them - like i wanted to combine answers! true - the fact that we're all having DWs lumps us together a bit already.

Jessalyn (CABOBRIDE200) & Tony's wedding day!

I left yesterday but I was delayed out of Cabo by more than an hour and missed my connecting flight in Houston, so I had to stay the night in Houston. What a trip back home. I couldn't believe the last flight out of Houston to Detroit was at 7pm. That's CRAZY! Both cities are major airline hubs...why would the last flight to a major city be at 7pm Plus.... the airline lied to us and told us we were delayed because of bad weather in Houston, but when we got to Houston, the people that lived there said it hadn't rained or anything all day. I was so mad. The airline should have paid for my hotel. Oh well, I'm home now and I'm going to start working on these pics ASAP. So... I will have some up by this weekend as promised. Patience ladies.... patience! patience? what's the meaning of THAT word? lol ok, ok - we'll give you a day or so to recover from your dreaded travels. maybe. well, we'll see. it's been a slow day here - some pictures sure would be nice! almost done? (heehee)
