since i don't have my pics yet - i had to go through my slideshow to find some examples. i didn't want a big, heavy veil, but i actually thought it would bother me if it were too short - like i thought it would be too bulky or something. my veil was pretty sheer - which is what i wanted. if you look through my slideshow you can see that the veil was pretty see through, and didn't block the dress - look at slides 37, 45, 47, and 50 Darkroom SlideShare

honestly, if YOU love it though, that's what matters! you sounded like you didn't though ... i got mine longer (to about my knees, maybe) and 1 later, not very much fabric because i didn't want it to block the back of my dress - but i still wanted the veil for the "bride feel" i wanted! the way i looked at it, if it were shorter, and ended around the top of your dress in the back, then it would distract from the dress. but a longer, simple veil would allow you to see through it, see the back of the dress - but still make you look like a bride! does that make ANY sense?

well it sounds like behind the scenes things weren't 100% perfect - but from what i've seen in the video - it all looked fabulous! and that dress ... HOT! you looked stunning! hope you're enjoying your honeymoon!

LOVE the dress, it's gorgeous. what a great feeling to finally find the dress, right? since we're being honest - i am not sure i love the veil with it though. i am not sure if it's the color, or the way it sits pretty bunchy/stiff and covers your back. maybe if it were spread out a little the color wouldn't be as dark? if you aren't happy with it - i know you can find something else if you want. i had mine custom made to what i wanted, and it was just $60 - i wanted something one-layer, pretty thin. but if you do decide to go with this veil, it's so discreet that you'll barely notice it, and it does have that rich color like the dress does

i know i know! i probably shouldn't have said anything - but i was so excited! ok, our trip up north has been cancelled - we're just too busy. but i might have time to figure it all out this weekend now!

i don't think that happened to us - but we also spend A LOT of time together already (we work together). and we moved in together in Aug, got engaged in Sept - so like Tammy said, maybe it's all of the changes at once? we definitely had our "wedding planning" discussions that were a little intense - and i do think that's normal. maybe try just taking a break from planning for a few weeks, don't even think about it or talk about it - you have plenty of time!

awww - we didn't get one of her house! i do have one of paul waiting outside though ...
