  1. i got mine at a paper store in Chicago but they also have a store online. papersource.com - and then i cut my invites to fit the envelope!

Great job putting together an amazing wedding. Thanks for sharing that with us! you're too sweet! thank you! it really was an amazing experience - and just what we wanted!

Then there is a section explaining how we don't expect gifts. so true - we explained this on our website as well. it was perfect!
  4. you could always include a special note to those people saying that even though you know they can't attend (and how you wish they could, blah blah blah), but you wanted to give them this invite so they know they were invited, or how you wanted to share this invite with them ... or osmething. my wording is awful right now - but hopefully you get the idea! if you're worried about the gift thing (i can't imagine people really think that way, but maybe they do!), you could also add in about how you don't expect a gift, but still wanted to include them.
  5. i had no rehearsal for my wedding - it wasn't even an option with Las Caletas really! well, i guess there was a site visit option, but we didn't even do that. we had never even seen our wedding ceremony site until the day of, and the WC just pointed me in the right direction. you should totally be fine. we did have a "welcome dinner" the night before, but this was at the resort and was just for fun really, had nothing to do with rehearsing the ceremony or anything!
  6. i sent invites to people who i knew wouldn't be attending. i mainly did it for the sake of formality. and also, so they knew they were still "officially" invited. but ... i did have one or two that said they couldn't attend, but at the last minute changed their minds - so i am glad i included everyone.
  7. i've been trying not to bug her ... i can't wait to see!

Ann you looked gorgeous I can't wait to look at your pictures!! well, welcome back! it's been a crazy few weeks it sounds like. glad you're back! and i will stop harassing you so you can post your pics ... YAY! i don't have all my pics back yet, but Leigh was so sweet to create and post a slideshow ... and i love it!
  10. (hijacking my own thread, beware) NATALIE! you've been so quiet ... how are you? tell us all about your wedding, how was it! did i miss it, or did you already post pictures, etc.? YAY, you're back!

So, I thought I'd just walk alone. But now that it's getting closer I'm changing my mind, I may ask my brother or uncle. It will still be hard not to have my dad there, but at least I won't be alone. So, I'd ask someone close to you (even maybe your mom) to walk with you. Lizz i'm so sorry for your loss, i can't image. have you thought of having something in your bouquet to honor your dad? like they have these small picture frames, you could attach it to your bouquet w/a pic of your dad - that way it will be like he IS walking you down the aisle.
  12. i was nervous that my dress would snag on something like this - just beware! but i love the idea of these.
  13. lol - i totally would catch myself doing it, then i'd stop. i do shake my leg when in meetings too, especially if i am getting mad or frustrated. or bored! lol
  14. welcome, Irene! you will get all sorts of ideas and help on this site. i got married in Puerto Vallarta, so not sure I have much to offer just yet ... but there are girls getting married (or got married) in all of the locations you mention ... let us know how we can help!

  16. i didn't do favors - i had OOT bags w/similar items that you mention. i guess i did do the fans, but used them as placecards as well - so those might be considered favors. but i didn't do anything else.
  17. thanks, ladies! it was fun to watch for me since i didn't get to see the whole boat ride over, or the first part of the ceremony.
  18. i picked #3 because i like the simple, understated look of it - and i am sure they could wear it again.
