  1. awesome review, natalie! but i too was distracted by the pictures - you were stunning!
  2. love these! my favorites ... your sassy leg shot, sitting on the sand w/the wedding party, and the ass grab! they all look like you're so happy, and having so much fun. even the "posed" ones look natural.
  3. welcome, i would imagine that would be useful for other DR brides.
  4. you're in a tough spot, for sure. i really wouldn't let the dress thing keep you from having her in your wedding if this is what you really want! it's just a matter of what to do about it. how close are the blues in the dresses we found online - did you ask the Nordstroms people (not sure they'd know)? is there a real similar dress in a matching color? not many people would notice (or care!) if there slight differences in the style. it's probably easier to hide a style difference over a color difference. maybe 1 girl could get a dress to match the new girl - then it would be 2 in the "old" dress and 2 in the "new" dress. girls often tend to exagerate their size ("oh my god, i am sooo fat!")- maybe she is not really that big? can she try on teh dress and then you go from there if it doesn't fit?

" lol - ok, that's a stretch. but just a thought!

They either look good or they don't - simple as that. On my first go around to salons I went alone and loved it. I would try on like 12 dresses super fast - it only takes a second to know a dress is a no. I always felt bad for the girls who had 5 people with them because they spent 15 minutes in each dress going through all the good points and bad points - then had to go back and try on the same dresses just to make sure. Ugh! After I went to all the stores I knew which dress was mine, but I kept a couple options open. My mom flew out for a weekend and I took her to the store so she could see the options even though I knew which I was getting. That allowed her to be a part of the process and kept me from going crazy with the "please try on that dress with the big bow and puffy sleeves" stuff. She agreed with me. i agree!! i went by myself the first couple times, it worked out very well. i narrowed it down to a couple and then brought a friend. that way i knew i was making my decisions based on what I liked, not someone else! i'm also not a shopper - it's not a social event for me, it's a mission. get in, get out!
  7. this looks like such a fun party - i love all of the colors. too cute - i like the one of you guys under the veil! are you glad you did the AHR? did you have a lot of people that couldn't make it to PV?
  8. ooohhh - sarah, i got the chills reading this! i remember now, a thread where we had to figure out someone's real last name because we needed to get it to the person at the resort BY NAME - screen names don't work at the hotel! lol anyway, we're glad you're back - and i can't wait to hear more about your day!
  9. that was so fun to watch, it really made it an upbeat slideshow - and they definitely seemed like a fun couple. she had a drink in her hand the majority of the time! nice work, Juan!
  10. i had included EVERYTHING in my budget, even the dresses I bought for the welcome dinner, my travel, rings, etc. ... so be sure to look at the detail before getting to freaked out!
  11. that's too funny! don't let jonathan see this!
  12. i can't say how much i saw people using my sunscreen, since most people brought their own and Dreams proivdes it. but i did see many people using the aloe that i provided!
  13. welcome to the forum! you've come to the right place for help, there are brides getting married all over the place!

  16. FYI - I noticed that the package prices went up for Las Caletas ... not much, but thought I'd point it out to anyone that was considering this as an option. side note: i can't believe we won't have any Las Caletas weddings until Nov ... it will be so hard to wait! and then we have 4 BDW - Las Caletas weddings in Nov.!
  17. is this it? i can't tell ... eBay: Maggy London Silk Chiffon Halter Dress Heavenly Blue 16 (item 180136703397 end time Jul-14-07 19:39:49 PDT)
  18. ahhh - i thoguht maybe it was a special painting of someone or something! lol
  19. Ok, I am officially depressed. After adding in everything I can think of, it comes to about $40K. Ouch. But this includes almost everything -including the rings, dress, travel for us and my mom, and my mom and dad's stay at Dreams, our honeymoon, WD dress, etc. I am sharing this because I hope it helps - but it's rather painful! I also hesitate to call it a budget since we never set one. But I did try to keep track of what we were spending. Maybe I shouldn't have! wedding cost.xls
  20. it looks like you had a perfect day for your wedding - fun pics! what was on the painting at the ceremony? i love that picture of your dress and shoes "sitting" on teh sofa - how cute!
  21. welcome to the forum (a little late, sorry!) - i hope we can help you decide!
  22. i feel like i should give you both some $$ for that picture!

Welcome to the forum! Have you decided on a date and/or location yet? Those are the hardest parts I think ... but let us know if we can help!
  24. oohhh - well, that all sounds good! when you said "stangant" i assumed you meant boring, or just dull. just not good. so question - what happens when you talk to Lawrence about how you feel?
