  4. well - here's your official welcome!
  5. I can't help much with your situations (I was married in Mexico!) but just wanted to say ... happy to see another active groom on here! Jason (lambert13) has been one of the more active ones - he was just married a couple weeks ago.

    Hi!

no doubt this board is addicting ... welcome to the dark side!
  7. can you show her pictures of the resort, and have her talk to other people that have been there? talk to a travel agent maybe - an unbiased 3rd party? paul's dad was like this a little bit - he has really only been to Ireland and the US. he thought Mexico was dirty and dangerous. well, i'd say out of everyone - HE had the best time! in every picture i see he's laughing, running around, he had a blast! hmmm - want his phone #? lol will simple begging and pleading work? you know once she gets there, she'll love it!
  8. well i certainly didn't have THAT barbie when i was growing up.
  9. welcome to the forum ... let us know how we can help!
  10. oh boy - watch out! congrats, sarah!
  11. well, orientation is on Friday - you have to be there at 7am, and ... kidding you just figure it all out on your own ... i keep learning as i go! and honestly, i was a pretty pretty quick since we didn't have any other PV girls, so i don't remember what i had access to before vs. what i do now!

  15. welcome to the forum! just let us know how we can help
  16. thank you! we didn't have an iPod - i think most of the music you heard, other than during the reception, is what the videographer put over the video. you MIGHT be able to hear the trio during some parts of the ceremony - but i never really heard them.

IMO they sell themselves as a travel agent/wedding coordinator all-in-one - FAR from that! again, at least thsi was my experience. i kept explaining to her what i wanted - private, beach, etc. and all she did was send me package quotes for popular resorts. hello ... i can do that! anyway - i ended up getting out of that pretty quick.
  18. it's very overwhelming at first - but don't worry, we can help!
  19. the site Tammy mentioned is a good one, for sure - but also can't hurt to list it on eBay or Craig's list too - or on here!

So basically we still would have had to shell out a few grand to replace it. Which gets me thinking? How have the rest of you insured your rings? I have heard that you can get a seperate jewlery policy. Would that be better? My WBs will add quite a bit of value to my ring so I will have to get it insured for more. Right? for all of the jewelry i have insured, i absolutely have a seperate policy or "jewelry rider" along with my homeowners insurance - their itemized and covered for the replacement cost
